MLB : Sanchez Starts for Jays in Colorado

The Toronto Blue Jays have lost six of their last eight games, and they'll send arguably their best starter to the mound Wednesday afternoon (3:10 PM ET, SNET) against the Colorado Rockies. Aaron Sanchez gets the nod for the Blue Jays against rookie southpaw Tyler Anderson, who's making his fourth career start in the big leagues.

Sanchez (3.46 FIP) has outperformed his teammates this year, but Toronto (41-37, –5.22 betting units) is only up 0.90 units in his 15 starts on a team record of 9-6. Four of those losses were quality starts by Sanchez, including his last appearance, Friday's 2-3 defeat at the hands of the Chicago White Sox (+148 at home).

The Rockies (37-39, 0.84 units) took Anderson in the first round of the 2011 MLB Draft, out of the University of Oregon; he missed the 2015 season with a stress fracture in his elbow, delaying his big-league debut until earlier this month. Colorado has lost two of Anderson's three starts, but the Las Vegas native has allowed just five earned runs over 17.2 innings, posting a tiny 1.62 FIP with zero home runs. Tuesday will be his first game against an American League opponent.

MLB Odds: Slumping Jays Seek Victory in Denver
With six losses in their last eight games, the Toronto Blue Jays (41-37, –5.22 betting units) are once again falling behind in the American League East. They'll try to get back on track in Denver on Wednesday when they face the Colorado Rockies (37-39, 0.84 units), starting at 3:10 PM ET on Sportsnet.

Aaron Sanchez (3.46 FIP) is up for Toronto against rookie southpaw Tyler Anderson (1.60 FIP). The Rockies have lost two of Anderson's three big-league starts, but the Las Vegas native has allowed just five earned runs in 17.2 innings of work.

Soccer : Euro 2016 - Portugal, Poland Battle for Euro Semifinal Berth

The Euro 2016 quarter-finals kick off Thursday, starting with a matchup between Portugal and Poland. Portugal's Cristiano Ronaldo and Poland's Robert Lewandowski step into the spotlight in Marseille.

Portugal needed a late goal from Ricardo Quaresma to survive the last round; Quaresma scored in the 117th minute to give Poland a 1-0 win over Croatia. The game was feisty from start to finish, but Portugal got the job done. They are now on the cusp of back-to-back appearances in the semifinals. If they can get past Poland, they’ll have five semifinal appearances in their eight trips to the Euros.

Poland drew 1-1 with Switzerland after 120 minutes of play, but they managed to snatch a win through penalties to get to the quarter-finals. Jakub Blaszczykowski scored for Poland, who got past the group stage for the first time in three appearances in the European Championships.

This will be the 11th meeting between Portugal and Poland. Portugal has won four and drawn three of their 10 meetings with Poland, and the last two meetings resulted in draws.

Poland is on the verge of their first trip to the semifinals, having been eliminated in the Group Stages of their previous two Euro Championship appearances.
Portugal has won four and drawn three of their 10 meetings with Poland in the past. Another win would give Portugal a fifth semifinal appearance.

E-Sports : CLG Seek Resurgence Versus Immortals

They won the Summer Split of the 2015 North American League of Legends Championship Series. Then they won the 2016 Spring Split. But Counter Logic Gaming find themselves seventh out of 10 teams in this year's Summer standings. They'll try to re-discover their form Friday night (8 PM ET) when they face second-place Immortals. The defending champs enter Week 4 of the Summer Split with just two wins in six attempts. MLB : Jays Host Snakes in Mini-Series

After taking Monday off, the Toronto Blue Jays (39-33, –1.44 betting units) are back at Rogers Centre Tuesday for the first of two games against the Arizona Diamondbacks (33-39, –5.24 units). First pitch is at 7:07 PM ET on Sportsnet. Toronto will send veteran righty Marco Estrada (4.04 FIP) to the mound on Tuesday. Estrada has made six straight quality starts – all victories for the Jays, who are now 8-5 behind Estrada for 1.74 units in earnings. Arizona will go with third-year southpaw Patrick Corbin (4.57 FIP), who's encountered some turbulence this year at –3.41 units on a team record of 5-9.

The Diamondbacks do get a break in this series; outfielder Jose Bautista (.815 OPS) is out indefinitely for Toronto after jamming his left big toe last Thursday against Philadelphia, but Arizona will have to do without injured outfielders Chris Owings (.759 OPS) and David Peralta (.750 OPS). Socrates Brito (.699 OPS lifetime) has been called up from AAA-Reno to fill in.

Soccer - Euro 2016 : Portugal Desperate for Win Over Hungary

With just two draws after two Euro 2016 matches, Portugal will almost certainly need all three points against Hungary this Wednesday (noon ET, ESPN) to qualify for the Round of 16. Their chances are looking good; at press time, Portugal is a –235 favorite on the moneyline, followed by Hungary at +800 and the draw at +330.

A draw would suit the Magyars just fine. They've clinched a top-three finish in Group F with an upset win over Austria and a draw against Iceland. One more point versus Portugal would assure Hungary of advancing to the Knockout Stage. However, Hungary might have already qualified by the time Wednesday rolls around, depending on the results from earlier in the week.

Portugal has played reasonably well at the Euros, yet they had to settle for a 1-1 draw against Iceland in the opener, then couldn't find the net in a 0-0 final versus Austria. Cristiano Ronaldo had the chance to put Portugal ahead in the second match with a late penalty, but he struck the post. Ronaldo has zero goals thus far at Euro 2016 after opening as the +800 second favorite behind Germany's Thomas Muller (+750) to win the Golden Boot.

They were –140 favorites to win Group F at Euro 2016, but Portugal might not even advance to the Knockout Stage if they don't beat Hungary this Wednesday (noon ET, ESPN) in Lyon. Portugal has just two draws after two matches, while Hungary is virtually assured of qualifying with four points thus far.

At press time, Portugal is a –235 favorite to win Wednesday's match, with Hungary at +800 and the draw priced at +330. The Magyars have yet to beat Portugal in 10 attempts over their long history, losing all five of their tournament matches.

Politics Odds: Brexit Polls Say “Leave” While Odds Say “Stay”

On Thursday, June 23, the United Kingdom will decide whether or not to stay in the European Union. Recent polls for this very important referendum have the “Leave” side well ahead, by as many as 10 points according to The Independent. But at press time, the “Stay” camp is favored at –160 on the props market.

The prevailing wisdom is that voters who are leaning toward a “Brexit” from the EU will get cold feet once it's time to mark their ballots. This tends to happen anytime there's something truly fundamental on the line. However, the “Leave” camp (+120) has been gaining momentum, thanks in part to Rupert Murdoch's The Sun tabloid coming out in support. The Sun is the biggest-selling newspaper in the UK at 1.7 million readers.

Other forces pointing at a Brexit include the rise of the radical right-wing UK Independence Party, which won 12.7% of votes during the 2015 general election, and growing concern over the European refugee crisis. The seriousness of the push toward “Leave” can be seen in the Euro Stoxx 50 index, which has dropped 7% since last Friday, and with portfolio managers recommending their clients switch to lower-risk assets.

NBA : Cavaliers Going Home for Game 6

It took a record-breaking performance – and Draymond Green's suspension – but the Cleveland Cavaliers are going home with a chance to tie the NBA Finals at 3-3. The Cavaliers (+6 away) staved off elimination Monday by beating the Golden State Warriors 112-97, setting up Game 6 in Cleveland Thursday night. Tip-off is at 9 PM ET on ABC.

Kyrie Irving and LeBron James made history by scoring 41 points each for the Cavs in Game 5; never before have two teammates reached the 40-point mark in the same game. They were helped by the absence of Green; he was retroactively charged with a flagrant-1 foul for striking James in the groin during Game 4, leading to an automatic one-game suspension for accumulating four flagrant foul points in the playoffs. Green will return for Game 6 in Cleveland.

Andrew Bogut might not join him. Bogut sprained his left knee Monday night and had to leave the game after getting in just eight minutes of action. The Warriors center had an MRI on Tuesday, but we have yet to receive an update on his status. There's a very good chance Bogut is out for the season, but Golden State is still –450 at press time to win the title.

NBA Odds: Cavs Host Wounded Warriors in Game 6
After 41 points apiece from LeBron James and Kyrie Irving on Monday, the Cleveland Cavaliers return to the Q this Thursday for Game 6 of the NBA Finals versus the Golden State Warriors. ABC has the coverage starting at 9 PM ET.

Despite losing 112-97 to the Cavs (+6) in Game 5, the Warriors are –450 at press time to defend their championship. But they might have to do it without center Andrew Bogut; we’re still awaiting an update on his status after he sprained his left knee on Monday and had an MRI on Tuesday. However, Draymond Green will return after serving his one-game suspension.

Soccer: Romania, Switzerland Clash in Massive Euro 2016 Match

The second series of matches in Euro 2016 kicks off on Wednesday with Group A. Romania and Switzerland go head-to-head at noon ET at the Parc des Princes in Paris. France faces Albania at 3 PM ET at the Stade de Velodrome and with the hosts almost assured a win, Romania and Switzerland have everything to play for in this match.

Romania battled hard, but they ended their opener against France with a 2-1 loss. Bogdan Stancu scored a penalty for Switzerland, who gave the hosts everything they could handle and more, but they were beaten by a late Dmitri Payet winner.

Switzerland is tied with France atop Group A after a 1-0 win over Albania, but Switzerland failed to score after going up a man in the 36th minute. Fabian Schar found the back of the net after five minutes for Switzerland, who got off to a hot start, but couldn't find a second goal. They didn’t need it, but Switzerland has to play better to get the three points, which would essentially put them in the next round.

This will be the third meeting for these two as Switzerland pounded Romania 4-1 in a group match at the 1994 World Cup. Romania returned the favor with a 1-0 win in a May 2012 friendly.

Group A is the place to be for Euro 2016 action on Wednesday with a huge match featuring Romania and Switzerland.

Romania lost to France 2-1 in their opener while Switzerland got a 1-0 win over Albania. This gives Switzerland the edge with three points, but Romania might have played better in their match despite losing. They know a loss here would end their European Championships. Switzerland beat Romania at the 1994 World Cup while Romania took a friendly in 2012. With France assumed to win over Albania, this match is crucial.

MLB : Orioles, Red Sox Seek AL East Supremacy

They're the only two profitable teams in the American League East, and they were tied for first place coming into the new week. The Baltimore Orioles (36-26, +9.68 betting units) and Boston Red Sox (36-26, +4.46 units) meet Wednesday night in the second of a three-game series at Fenway Park. First pitch is at 7:10 PM ET on ESPN2.

Both teams will be at the back end of their starting rotations on Wednesday. Third-year northpaw Kevin Gausman (4.33 FIP) is scheduled to pitch for Baltimore, and looking to redeem himself after giving up five runs to the Red Sox (+106 away) in a 6-2 loss back on May 31. Boston responds with another third-year righty, knuckleballer Steven Wright (3.20 FIP), who's in a serious groove this year. Wright pitched a complete game on May 30 to beat the Orioles 7-2 and cash in at +108.

As long as they're getting good pitching, the Red Sox can win any game. They're first in the majors in hitting at .839 OPS, dwarfing the very powerful O's batting order at No. 4 overall (.785 OPS). Boston's relief pitching has also performed better at 3.59 FIP to Baltimore's 3.83 FIP.

The Baltimore Orioles (36-26, +9.68 betting units) and Boston Red Sox (36-26, +4.46 units) came into the new week tied for first place in the American League East. They'll meet Wednesday at Fenway Park, starting at 7 PM ET on ESPN2.

Steven Wright (3.20 FIP) is scheduled to take the mound for Boston; he pitched all nine innings in a 7-2 victory over Baltimore on May 30, cashing in the Red Sox as +108 road dogs. Kevin Gausman (4.33 FIP) responds for the Orioles, seeking redemption after losing 6-2 to Boston as a –116 favourite on May 31.

NBA: Warriors-Cavaliers in Game 4

What can I say ? What's your predictions on game 4 ? We have seen and incredible action and ups and downs for both teams. Tonight when Golden State Warriors and Cleveland Cavaliers will the odds and lines still the same for the whole game ?  It's difficult to figure out how both teams will react tonight after 3 games. Could Warriors have a better defense to try push a win ? Or the Cavs will dominate their court as they did on the third match ? Actually after visiting some sports site, I could see a small advantage for Cavaliers at home for Game 4.

MLB : Yankees, Tigers Fight for .500

It's been a less than inspiring season so far for both the New York Yankees (29-30, –2.37 betting units) and the Detroit Tigers (30-29, +3.00 units). But there are still over 100 games left to go before the playoffs, and one of these two teams will take a step closer when they meet Saturday night in Game 2 of a three-game series at Yankee Stadium. First pitch is at 7:15 PM ET on FOX.

New York will send ace righty Masahiro Tanaka to the mound (3.22 FIP). He's been one of their better players this year, earning 3.78 units on a team record of 6-4, with the under cashing in at 9-3. Tanaka has made four straight quality starts, allowing just four runs in 27 innings of work. The Yankees are also 4-1 in their last five games.

The Tigers respond with former ace Justin Verlander (3.56 FIP), who's still pitching well for Detroit, but isn't the same AL Cy Young and MVP winner from five years ago. He's 0.75 units in the red this season on a record of 6-6, but the Tigers have won three of Verlander's last four starts, and five of their last six games overall.

MLB Odds: Yankees-Tigers in the Bronx
After a so-so start to the 2016 campaign, the New York Yankees (29-30, –2.37 betting units) and Detroit Tigers (30-29, +3.00 units) are both on the winning track. But only one can prevail when they meet Saturday night at Yankee Stadium, starting at 7:15 PM ET on FOX.

Masahiro Tanaka (3.22 FIP) is scheduled to start for the Yankees, while Detroit will respond with Justin Verlander (3.56 FIP). Both pitchers have been in fine form lately; New York has won five of Tanaka's last six starts, while the Tigers are 3-1 in Verlander's last four appearances.

NBA : Warriors-Cavaliers in Game 3

No team has ever been beaten up in the NBA Finals like the Cleveland Cavaliers. They lost the first two games by a combined 48 points, and they're 1.5-point home dogs at press time for Wednesday's Game 3 (9 PM ET, ABC) versus the Golden State Warriors. The Cavs were 1-point puppies when the line opened on Monday.

After playing somewhat competitive basketball in the opener, things fell apart for Cleveland Sunday night in Game 2; they got blown out 77-110 as 6-point road dogs, and they lost Kevin Love to a concussion after he was elbowed in the head by Harrison Barnes. Love was put in concussion protocol and didn't practice Tuesday, but he hopes to play Wednesday despite being officially listed as questionable for Game 3.

Cleveland can't afford to have anyone missing. The Warriors are healthy, and their depth has taken its toll on the Cavs, whose bench pales in comparison. Leandro Barbosa scored 21 points in 29 minutes during the first two games, shooting 10-for-12 from the floor. Ian Clark, Marreese Speights and former Cavs center Anderson Varejao have also contributed for Golden State in limited minutes.

NBA Odds: “Must-Win” for Cavs in Game 3
Technically, the Cleveland Cavaliers don't have to win Game 3 of the NBA Finals. But with his team down 2-0, LeBron James has called Wednesday's matchup (9 PM ET, ABC) against the Golden State Warriors a “must-win” game for Cleveland.

It won't be easy. The Cavaliers dropped the first two games by a combined 48 points, and they're 1.5-point home dogs for Game 3, up from +1 at the open. The Cavs might also be without Kevin Love, who suffered a concussion in Game 2 and is listed as questionable for Wednesday after skipping Tuesday's practice.

NHL : Penguins One Win Away from Cup

The Pittsburgh Penguins will win their fourth Stanley Cup – two with Mario Lemieux, two with Sidney Crosby – if they beat the San Jose Sharks this Thursday (8 PM ET, CBC and NBC). Pittsburgh took a 3-1 lead in the Cup Final with a 3-1 victory in San Jose on Monday, cashing in as a +105 underdog.

San Jose's job got a little more difficult with the announcement that centre Tomas Hertl (six goals in 20 playoff games) would miss the rest of the Final with a knee injury. Hertl was knocked out of Game 2 and didn't suit up for Game 3, leaving the Sharks without one of their top two-way players.

When the playoffs began, Pittsburgh goaltender Matt Murray wasn't available on the Conn Smythe futures market, but he enhanced his MVP resume Monday night by stopping 23 of San Jose's 24 shots. The 22-year-old rookie raised his playoff save percentage to .930 in the process. Murray's play has drawn comparisons to Ken Dryden, the former Montreal Canadiens great, who won the Conn Smythe in 1971 and the Calder Trophy as the NHL's best rookie in 1972.

NHL Odds: Sharks Endangered in Stanley Cup Final
The San Jose Sharks will see their magical 2015-16 season end this Thursday (8 PM ET, CBC and NBC) if they don't beat the Pittsburgh Penguins in Game 5 of the Stanley Cup Final. Pittsburgh beat the Sharks 3-1 on Monday as a +105 road dog to take a 3-1 lead in their series.

The Sharks also announced that centre Tomas Hertl (six goals in 20 playoff games) would sit out the rest of the Final with a knee injury that he suffered in Game 2. Hertl was one of San Jose's top forwards this year.

Now that the Kentucky Derby winner has been taken off the trail, Exaggerator is the clear favorite to win the 148th running of the Belmont Stakes on June 11 (5 PM ET, NBC). Exaggerator is 1/1 on the Belmont futures market at press time.

At 1 ½ miles, the Belmont is difficult for any horse to win, but Exaggerator is definitely the one to beat in what's shaping up to be a weaker field. There are nine other horses listed as probable for the trip to Belmont Park; Suddenbreakingnews is available at 15/2, followed by Cherry Wine at 10/1 and Stradivari at 12/1.

Stradivari could be the best pick to upset Exaggerator. Trained by Todd Pletcher, this Kentucky-bred colt finished fourth at the Preakness, which was his first major thoroughbred race. With no front-runners in the projected field, Stradivari might enjoy the slower pace at the Belmont and have enough left in reserve for a strong finish. However, there's a chance of rain in the long-range forecast, giving Exaggerator fans yet another reason to feel confident.

Now that Nyquist has been taken off the Triple Crown trail, Preakness Stakes champion Exaggerator is the heavy favorite at 1/1 on the Belmont futures market. He'll face a depleted field at Belmont Park on Saturday, June 11. NBC has the television coverage starting at 5 PM ET.

Exaggerator's main competition in the projected field should come from Suddenbreakingnews (15/2), Cherry Wine (10/1) and Stradivari (12/1), with Stradivari arguably the best bargain of the bunch. He came in fourth at the Preakness and could do even better at the Belmont, which will likely be run at a slower pace.

NBA : Warriors - 6 Versus Cavaliers in Game 1

After coming back from the near-dead to beat the Oklahoma City Thunder in the Western Conference Finals, the Golden State Warriors have opened as big favorites for their title defense against the Cleveland Cavaliers. The Warriors are –200 at press time to win the series, and they're 6-point home favorites for Thursday's opener, starting at 9 PM ET on ABC.

The Cavaliers were surprisingly competitive during last year's NBA Finals – at least in the beginning. Despite season-ending injuries to Kevin Love, then Kyrie Irving, Cleveland took a 2-1 straight up and against the spread lead over the Dubs before running out of gas and dropping the last three games. Love and Irving are both healthy now, and the Cavs cruise into Thursday's game at 12-2 SU and 9-5 ATS during these playoffs.

Meanwhile, it looks like the Warriors (12-5 SU, 11-6 ATS) are back in fine form after sweeping their last three games against Oklahoma City. Two-time and reigning league MVP Stephen Curry buried the Thunder with 36 points in Game 7, shooting 13-of-24 from the floor and 7-of-12 from long range in arguably his best game of the postseason. Golden State is a value pick as long as Curry stays healthy.

NBA Odds: Warriors Favored Over Cleveland in NBA Finals
The Golden State Warriors are back in the NBA Finals, where once again, it'll be the Cleveland Cavaliers supplying the opposition. And just like in Game I last year, the Warriors are 6-point home favorites for Thursday's opener, tipping off at 9 PM ET on ABC.

This figures to be a very different series, though. The Cavaliers have both Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love to support LeBron James, and they have a new offensive mindset under head coach Tyronn Lue. The Warriors, meanwhile, could be running on fumes after needing seven games to eliminate the Oklahoma City Thunder.
