Multi-Hand Blackjack at Café Casino

The classic game of Twenty-One has upped the ante at Café Casino. Instead of playing one hand at a time, play up to three hands per round. Multi-Hand Blackjack follows the same rules as traditional six-deck blackjack, but offers triple the action. It’s perfect for table game aficionados looking to get more out of each round.

Multi-Hand Blackjack at Café Casino

multihand blackjack

To start the game, you choose between one and three hands, tossing in a wager (the ante) for each hand. Press “Deal” to receive multiple two-card hands, and the rest is up to you. Hit if you want another card, or Stand if you’re good with what you have. Split a hand into two if you have two equal-value cards, or Double Down if you think that one more card will make you a winner. As is the case with traditional blackjack, you can opt for Insurance if the Dealer has a visible Ace, or Surrender your hand if your prospects look grim.

If you’re playing more than one hand, you’ll choose an individual action for each hand – the dealer’s hand doesn’t change. Do whatever you can to get a higher score than the dealer without busting (going over 21). At the end of the round, the dealer’s hole card is revealed – the hand is compared with each of your hands, and you get a 1:1 payout with each win. If the round is a push, you’ll get your bet back; a loss results in your wagers going to the house.

Multi-Hand Blackjack can be played on multiple devices. All you need is an internet connection, and you can play from your desktop, laptop, tablet or mobile.

NFL : Patriots Still –3 Versus Falcons for Super Bowl 51

Where’s the support for the Atlanta Falcons? Super Bowl 51 is coming up this Sunday (6:30 PM ET, FOX), and most of the action thus far has been on the favorites, the New England Patriots. They’re still 3-point favorites at press time, with most of the big bets coming in on Tom Brady and Friends. The total is also holding steady at 59.5 points after opening at 59 – a new Super Bowl record.

Despite all the support for the Patriots (16-2 SU, 15-3 ATS), Atlanta has picked up some steam on the moneyline. The NFC champs are available at +125, down from +135 at the open and as high as +140 last week. There should be some betting value on the Falcons (13-5 SU, 12-6 ATS) and their league-best offense in what looks like a close game on paper.

The under may also have value if the league has its way. Super Bowl 51 could be the first time all season that the retractable roof at Houston’s NRG Stadium has been opened for an NFL game; a final decision isn’t expected until just before game time. Sunday’s forecast calls for partly cloudy skies and temperatures reaching 80 degrees at kick-off.

NFL Odds: Roof Open for Super Bowl 51?

There’s a new twist in the storyline for Super Bowl 51 this Sunday in Houston. Depending on the weather, it looks like the NFL wants the retractable roof opened for Sunday’s matchup (6:30 PM ET, FOX) between the New England Patriots and the Atlanta Falcons. It would be the first time all season that the roof has been opened for an NFL game.

This could make the under worth extra consideration on the Super Bowl-record total of 59.5 points. The Patriots (–3) should also benefit if the Falcons and their NFL-best offense have to operate in the open air.

NBA : Raptors, Celtics Go Head-to-Head in Boston

The Boston Celtics and the Toronto Raptors are the No. and No. 3 seeds in the Eastern Conference, and are viewed as the teams most likely to challenge the Cleveland Cavaliers. The two will meet in Boston on Wednesday at 7:30 PM ET.

The Raptors have struggled in the latter half of January, losing six of their last seven games entering Tuesday. While DeMar DeRozan's recent injury was a factor, they've also had problems shooting the ball. Toronto is shooting 45.2% (down from 46.4% for the season) from the field and just 34.8% (down from 37.5%) from the three-point line.

A lot of the Celtics’ success comes from PG Isaiah Thomas, who’s joining DeRozan in the All-Star Game. Thomas is averaging a league-leading 10 points in the fourth quarter. He’s shooting 47.5% from the field in the final quarter, including 42.3% from downtown.

Toronto is 4-1 SU and ATS in their last five against the Celtics, winning and covering in both meetings so far this season. The Raptors won 101-94 in Boston on December 9, and then 114-106 in Toronto on January 10.

NBA Odds: Guards in the Spotlight in Boston

The Toronto Raptors and the Boston Celtics square off in Boston on Wednesday at 7:30 PM ET, and the focus will be in the backcourt.

Toronto will send SG DeMar DeRozan (as a starter) and PG Kyle Lowry to the All-Star Game in New Orleans, and they'll be joined by Boston's PG Isaiah Thomas. The Celtics’ guard will have to put forth his best performance to help his team overcome the Raptors, who’ve won both meetings against Boston so far this season. The Raptors have struggled away from home recently, though, dropping five of their last six road games.

Entertainment : Live Dogs at Puppy Bowl XIII

Super Bowl counterprogramming doesn’t get much better than the Puppy Bowl series on Animal Planet. But things went into overdrive in 2015 when the format was changed to a team-based competition. Betting lines for this year’s Puppy Bowl XIII are on the board; Team Ruff, the two-time and defending champions, are favored by 7.5 points at press time over Team Fluff. The broadcast begins at 3 PM ET (and Pacific) on Super Bowl Sunday, February 5.

The Puppy Bowl shouldn’t be taken too seriously. This year’s event was filmed over the course of two days in October and edited down to a three-hour program fit for broadcast. The rules are open for interpretation; it’s like NFL football, with two teams of 39 puppies – all of them available for adoption. The winning team will receive the Lombarky Trophy.

Aside from the “game” itself, there are a number of props available for who will be named Most Valuable Puppy. For example, you can bet on whether the MVP will be mixed-breed (–500) or a pure-bred (+300). Pure-breds took down each of the first five MVP awards; since then, mixed-breeds have won six of the last seven.

Entertainment Odds: Will Team Ruff Three-Peat at Puppy Bowl XIII?

After winning the first two “games” under the new format, Team Ruff is favored by 7.5 points at press time to three-peat at Puppy Bowl XIII. They overwhelmed Team Fluff 73-45 in 2015 and 70-44 in 2016. Animal Planet airs this pre-recorded three-hour program on Super Bowl Sunday, February 5, starting at 3 PM ET and PT.

Props are also on the board for who will be named Most Valuable Puppy. Will it be a mixed-breed (–500) or a pure-bred (+300)? Mixed-breeds have won back-to-back MVP awards and six of the last seven.

Diamond Dragon slot game

Play slots online

You’ve got to wonder, why are dragons so angry? In Rival Gaming’s new release, Diamond Dragon slot game, it’s pretty clear: knights keep showing up to try to nab the fire-breathers’ diamonds. It’s risky business, but the reward is enticing. You can win a $3,125 jackpot. The game is loaded with bonus features to help increase your chances of taking home the big one.

Firstly, the game offers a pumped up free spins mode. Three scatters get you 10 free spins, four get you 20, and five pay 50. Additionally, the wild symbol, which we’ll get to in a moment, has a higher chance of hitting during free spins mode. It can pop up on reels No. 1, 2, and 3, instead of being confined to the first two reels. The wild also offers a 2X multiplier – unlike in normal play. Perhaps the best part of free spins mode is the ability to trigger the Diamond Dragon Super Round.

All it takes is a trio of Super Round scatter icons (symbolized by the silver ax), but these icons appear only in free spins mode. They trigger an additional five free spins that offer higher chances of collecting big payouts. Part of the reason is the wild symbol becomes accessible on reels No. 1, 2, 3 and 4, and additionally, the 2X multiplier from free spins mode becomes a 3X multiplier in the Super Round.

The game’s wild symbol is a fierce dragon that substitutes for all symbols, except the scatters. The icon expands when it’s able to create a winning lineup, and as it expands, the entire reel fills with fire. The wild increases its presence during free spins mode, and even more so during the Super Round.

Normal play has its perks, too. Diamonds spin through reels No. 1, 3, and 5. Landing at least three of them trigger the Diamond Pick Bonus, which presents three identical diamond icons on screen. They may look the same, but their values vary. Try to pick the most valuable diamond to boost your bankroll.

Café Casino is offering an additional bankroll boost for playing Diamond Dragon slot game. For a limited time only, use the code: NEWGAMECA and get a 330% match bonus. That gets you up to $330 when you deposit and play the game. Find out if you have what it takes to calm the angry dragon and make out a winner.

NHL : Sens Welcome the Flames Thursday Night

The Ottawa Senators (26-15-5 SU, 26-20 ATS) sit in second place in the Atlantic Division and find themselves squarely in a playoff position after 46 games. On Thursday, the Sens will try to capitalize on home ice advantage at the Canadian Tire Centre, where they’ve posted a 14-7-5 record so far in 2016-17. Led by defenseman Erik Karlsson (7 goals, 32 assists) and right winger Mark Stone (16 goals, 19 assists), the Sens will look to win their seventh game out of their last nine. That success can be largely attributed to the surprising play of goaltender Mike Condon (2.52 goals against average, .914 save percentage), who has filled in admirably for starter Craig Anderson.

The Calgary Flames (24-24-3) will look to get back on track after losing badly to the Montreal Canadiens 5-1 on Tuesday night. The Flames have lost four straight, and six of their last seven games. They’ve struggled to keep the puck out of the back of their net recently, giving up 25 goals over their last five games. With an uncertain goaltending situation in Calgary, Chad Johnson has taken the starting job from Brian Elliott, but has still not found the consistency that the Flames’ young roster needs to be successful. Game time is 7:30 PM ET on Sportsnet West.

NHL Odds: Erik Karlsson and the Ottawa Senators Host Struggling Flames Squad

The Calgary Flames (24-24-3) continue their Eastern Canadian road trip Thursday night (7:30 PM ET on Sportsnet West), and will try to end a four-game losing streak in Ottawa. Currently sitting in the last Wildcard spot in the Western Conference, the Flames will look for their young offensive stars to step up against the Sens.

The Ottawa Senators (26-15-5), meanwhile, have found stability in net in Mike Condon (2.52 goals against average, .914 save percentage) despite losing their starting goaltender, Craig Anderson, who has started only 19 games so far this season. The Sens have won six of their last eight games, and will look to extend the Flames’ woes with another home win at the Canadian Tire Centre.

NFL : Patriots –3 Over Falcons in Brady-Ryan Duel

It’s been another great year for NFL quarterbacks, so it’s fitting that two of the very best will meet at Super Bowl 51. Tom Brady and the New England Patriots have opened as 3-point favorites over Matt Ryan and the Atlanta Falcons, with a sky-high total of 59.5 points – up from 59 at the open. FOX has the coverage from Houston’s NRG Stadium on Sunday, February 5, starting at 6:30 PM ET.

With the Patriots (16-2 SU, 15-3 ATS) favored to win, Brady is +150 at press time to win Super Bowl MVP honors for the fourth time in his illustrious career. Ryan is next at +230; he’s almost certain to win the regular season MVP award, but this is the first time Ryan has led the Falcons (13-5 SU, 12-6 ATS) to the Big Game.

Underdogs have won four of the last five Super Bowls straight up, so the Falcons have every reason to be hopeful. They’ve got the best offense in the league, which they’ll rely on because of their weaker defense, driving the over to a 15-2-1 record. The Patriots (under 10-8) went 4-2 SU and 2-4 ATS in their previous six Super Bowl appearances.

NFL Odds: Patriots-Falcons at Super Bowl 51

Super Bowl 51 is coming up on Sunday, February 5 (6:30 PM ET, FOX) at Houston’s NRG Stadium, and the early action is on the New England Patriots as 3-point favorites over the Atlanta Falcons. The juice on the Patriots has moved from –115 to –125 since the open.

The total has also climbed from 59 points to 59.5, easily the highest total ever at the Super Bowl. Rumor has it that Lady Gaga wants to perform her halftime show on top of the stadium, so the retractable roof will presumably remain closed for the Big Game.

NFL : Patriots Begin at –3 for Super Bowl 51

After one of the most dominant regular seasons in NFL history, the New England Patriots (16-2 SU, 15-3 ATS) are headed for their seventh Super Bowl in the Bill Belichick-Tom Brady era. And they’ve opened as 3-point favorites against their opponents at Super Bowl 51, the Atlanta Falcons (13-5 SU, 12-6 ATS). Kick-off from NRG Stadium in Houston is at 6:30 p.m. Eastern on Sunday, February 5, with FOX providing the television coverage.

Super Bowl 51 opened with a total of 59 points, the biggest total in the history of the Big Game. The previous record of 57 points was set at Super Bowl 44, when the New Orleans Saints beat the Indianapolis Colts 31-17 in Miami. The OVER is 15-2-1 for the Falcons this year; they even managed to hurdle the 62-point total in their NFC title win over the Green Bay Packers, winning 44-21 as 4-point home faves.

The Patriots, on the other hand, have the UNDER at 10-8 this season. But they went nuclear in each of their two playoff games, including last week’s 36-17 victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers (OVER 51) in the NFC title game. New England was a 6-point home chalk in that matchup.

NFL Odds: All Offense in Falcons-Patriots Super Bowl?

Super Bowl 51 has already made it into the record books. The Big Game (Feb. 5, 6:30 p.m. ET, FOX) opened with a total of 59 points, breaking the old record of 57 set at Super Bowl 44. The New England Patriots have also opened as 3-point favorites over the Atlanta Falcons at NRG Stadium in Houston.

The Patriots (16-2 SU, 15-3 ATS) are far more popular than the Falcons (13-5 SU, 12-6 ATS), and the early money was flowing like wine toward New England, moving the vigorish from –115 at the open to –125 at press time.

NBA : Harden, Thomas Go Head-to-Head in Boston

SG James Harden of the Houston Rockets and PG Isaiah Thomas of the Boston Celtics have been two of the top guards in the NBA this season. The two meet for the second time this season on Wednesday, this time in Boston.

Harden entered the week leading the league in assists and sitting in third place for scoring. He was named a starter in the upcoming All-Star Game. Harden also powers an offense that’s second in the league in scoring only to Golden State. The Rockets haven't scored less than 100 points since November 21.

Thomas didn't get voted into the All-Star Game as a starter, but there’s an excellent chance that he'll get in as a reserve. He’s second in the league in scoring and he’s been extremely reliable in crunch time situations. He leads the NBA in fourth quarter scoring.

The Rockets are 4-1 SU and 3-2 ATS in their last five meetings with the Celtics, including a 107-106 win at home on December 5. Harden had 37 points, eight rebounds, seven assists and he hit all 18 of his free-throw attempts. Thomas had 20 points for the Celtics.

The Rockets won 107-106, as James Harden had a massive game with 38 points, eight boards, seven assists while going 18-of-18 from the free throw line. MMA : Chael Sonnen vs. Tito Ortiz

The Bellator promotion is bringing out the big guns this Saturday at The Forum in Inglewood, California. Chael Sonnen and Tito Ortiz will meet in the main event of Bellator 170; SpikeTV will be there live, starting with the preliminaries at 7 PM ET and the main card at 9 PM. Sonnen is the –175 favorite at press time.

These are two of the most recognized light heavyweights in MMA, although both are well past their prime. Ortiz (18-12-1 lifetime) is 41 years old, turning 42 on Saturday, and he was 1-6 in his last seven UFC fights before making the leap to Bellator. He’s 2-1 since, but hasn’t fought since September 2015, when he suffered a first-round title loss to Liam McGeary (–600) via inverted triangle choke.

Sonnen (29-14-1 lifetime) has been out of action even longer. It’s been over three years since he was knocked out by Rashad Evans (–200) in the first round at UFC 167. But Sonnen will be the younger fighter in this match at age 39, and he was beating quality opponents like Mauricio “Shogun” Rua (–150) as recently as 2013.

Ortiz is coming off a title loss to Liam McGeary (–600) at Bellator 142. His last successful run in the Octagon ended in 2006.

Wishing Cup Slot Game review

Wishing Cup Slot Game review - New King-Tut Inspired Slot Available at Cafe Casino, Ignition Casino and Slots Casino .
Find out what the wishing cup has in store for you in this epic 5-reel, 25-line slot. While ruling in the 18th dynasty, King Tut had it all: scarab jewelry, a gold ankh, a crook and flail, daggers, statues and more. After an unfortunate accident led him to an early grave, his belongings were buried with him, waiting to be discovered.

Wishing Cup Slot Game review

Wishing Cup Slot Game takes you into the pharaoh’s tomb, allowing you to explore the treasure-filled cavern with every spin. Valuable hieroglyphs can be found around the cave, and if you line up at least three matching ones, starting from left-to-right, a payout is heading your way.
Three symbols in the game offer jackpot payouts. The first is Horus, god of the sky with the head of a falcon. Five Horus symbols pay 750 coins. Anubis, god of mummification with the head of a dog, pays up to 1,500 coins. Osiris, the green-skinned god of the underworld, pays the most; land five and pocket a cool 2,000 coins.

To help improve your chances of landing these high-paying symbols is the Wishing Cup slot machine. Based on the lotus-shaped chalice that was discovered in King Tut’s tomb in the 1920s, the Wishing Cup is a wild in this slot game. It substitutes for other symbols to help create more winning lines. Additionally, the Wishing Cup expands, further increasing your chances of landing winning lines. Every time the Cup expands, the spirit of King Tut makes an appearance. This valuable feature is restricted to reels 1 to 4 during normal play.

Landing at least three Gold Pharaoh scatters triggers the game’s free spins mode. Three trigger seven free spins, four trigger 10 free spins, and five trigger 15 free spins. For the entire duration of free spins mode, the third reel is wild.

Wishing Cup has another feature that enhances the game’s Egyptian theme: The Secret Passage. During normal play, the Secret Passage icons are engraved stone covers that build suspense by blocking an icon on the reels. Cross your fingers as you watch the cover slowly reveal the hidden symbol; it could result in a big payout, or an unfulfilled line.

Try your luck at uncovering the riches hidden within King Tut’s tomb at Bodog Casino. They offer a 125% match bonus that gets you up to $125 when you deposit. Simply use the code: NEWGAMEBO to take advantage of this offer. It’s available for a limited-time only; after all, King Tut waits for no one.

NHL : Original Six Matchup this Thursday

After winning their last three games, the streaking Toronto Maple Leafs (21-13-8 SU, 27-15 ATS) will look to extend their hot streak against a Rangers squad that has lost three straight. Sitting sixth in the Eastern Conference, Toronto’s offense has been on fire, scoring four or more goals in six of their last seven games. The Leafs currently sit fifth in the NHL in goals for per game with 3.12; that success is largely due to the emergence of the 19-year-old Auston Matthews. The first overall pick from 2016 has not disappointed through the first half of this campaign, as he’s put up 22 goals and 16 assists through 42 games.

New York Rangers (28-16-1), meanwhile, are trending in the opposite direction of the Leafs. They’ve given up a total of 20 goals over their past four games and have slid to seventh in the East. Starting goaltender Henrik Lundqvist has had a sub-par season thus far compared to his career stats, posting a 2.89 goals against average and a .902 save percentage (compared to a 2.31, .920 career mark). The Rangers will attempt to slow the Leafs’ surging offense and get back on track Thursday (7:30 PM ET on TSN 4) in this battle of Original Six foes.

NHL Odds: Matthews and the Leafs Welcome the Rangers to Town

The New York Rangers (28-16-1) limp into Toronto on a three-game losing streak. New York’s defense has been porous at best over their last three games, giving up a total of 16 goals, including a 4-2 loss against the Leafs on January 13.

The Toronto Maple Leafs (21-13-8), however, have found their offensive groove. Led by Auston Matthews (22 goals, 16 assists), the Leafs have found a balanced attack across three forward lines. They’ve also managed to solidify their goaltending, as Fredrik Andersen (2.67 goals against average, .918 save percentage) has proven to be a reliable backstop through the first half of the season.

NFL : Patriots Favored by 6 Over Red-Hot Steelers

The Pittsburgh Steelers have captured the attention of bettors with nine straight wins at 7-1-1 ATS. But they’ll face their toughest challenge of the season this Sunday (6:40 PM ET, CBS) when they visit the New England Patriots in the Conference Championships. The Patriots are 6-point favorites at press time with a total of 51.

New England (15-2 SU, 14-3 ATS) is also on a tear, winning eight in a row at 7-1 ATS and covering some big spreads along the way – none bigger than the 17 points they were laying in last week’s 34-16 Divisional Round victory over the Houston Texans. The Patriots escaped that game mostly intact; WR Malcolm Mitchell remains iffy for this week after sitting against Houston with a knee injury.

The Steelers (13-5 SU, 11-6-1 ATS) didn’t have any new names on their injury list after squeaking past the Kansas City Chiefs 18-16 last week as 1-point road dogs. But their chances for Sunday will improve if TE Ladarius Green makes it out of concussion protocol in time to face New England. The weather forecast calls for overcast skies over Foxborough at kick-off with temperatures in the low 40s.

There’s also a total of 51 points on the board for Sunday’s contest, even though the weather forecast calls for overcast skies and temperatures hovering around 40 degrees at game time. The Patriots (15-2 SU, 14-3 ATS) and Steelers (13-5 SU, 11-6-1 ATS) each had the under at 10-6 during the regular season.

NFL : Falcons Open at –4 Versus Packers

Offense has ruled the NFL playoffs thus far, and the league’s top two offenses will clash this Sunday (3:05 p.m. ET, FOX) when the Green Bay Packers visit the Atlanta Falcons. Atlanta opened as a 4-point favorite and drew enough early action to move the juice from –105 to –115 at press time.

When these same two teams met in Week 8, it was the Falcons (12-5 SU, 11-6 ATS) winning 33-32 on a last-minute touchdown pass from Matt Ryan to Mohamed Sanu. Green Bay (12-6 SU, 11-6-1 ATS) still cashed in as a 3-point road dog. That was the start of a four-game losing streak for the Packers, but they’ve won all eight of their games since at 7-1 ATS. Atlanta has won five in a row at 4-1 ATS.

Ryan is the heavy favorite to win this year’s MVP award at –1000, but Packers QB Aaron Rodgers is second at +500, and Green Bay’s offense has driven the OVER to the pay window in each of the last six games. The OVER is also 14-2-1 for the Falcons this year, including 6-0-1 since their Week 11 bye. Expect a gigantic total for Sunday’s Conference Championships.

The Falcons have opened as 4-point favorites for Sunday’s matchup; they were 3-point home faves when they beat the Packers 33-32 in Week 8. Expect another high-scoring game with Ryan (–1000 to win MVP) and Rodgers (+500) taking advantage of two relatively weak defenses inside the cozy confines of the Georgia Dome.

NBA : Oklahoma City Thunder vs Golden State Warriors

NBA : Durant, Westbrook Take Center Stage as Warriors Host Thunder
Much was made of Kevin Durant's decision to leave Russell Westbrook and the Oklahoma City Thunder in the offseason for the Golden State Warriors. The two have met once already this season and will again on Wednesday, when Durant and the Warriors host Westbrook and the Thunder.

Westbrook continues to be one of the top stories of the season, leading the league in scoring while ranking second in assists and 11th in rebounds. He’s still averaging a triple-double per game and has 20 on the season, and the Thunder have won 16 of those games.

Durant has been no slouch, though. The Warriors have the league's best record. Ranked eighth in scoring, Durant is on track to shoot about 54% from the field - a career-best for a player who previously was around 49%. Durant has worked his way into the MVP discussion.

The two teams met way back on November 5 in Oakland, where the Warriors beat the Thunder 122-96. Durant poured in 39 points against his former team while Westbrook was held to 20 points, 10 assists and six rebounds, along with six turnovers.

Russell Westbrook, who has 20 triple-doubles on the season, had 20 points, 10 assists, six rebounds and six turnovers for the Thunder. The Warriors are 19-3 at home, while the Thunder are just 10-12 on the road.

Tennis : 2017 Australian Open

The first of this year’s four major tennis tournaments begins Monday with the 105th edition of the Australian Open. The usual suspects are on top of the futures market; Novak Djokovic and Andy Murray are tied at +150 on the men’s side, while Serena Williams leads the women at +200. Djokovic is the defending and six-time champion at Melbourne Park, but he had his ups and downs in 2016, losing his No. 1 ranking to Murray by the end of the year. However, Djokovic did defeat Murray last week in the finals of the Qatar Open in Doha. Murray has yet to win the Australian Open, losing four times to Djokovic in the finals and once to Roger Federer, who’s well down the odds list this year at +1600.

Williams has enjoyed a remarkable late-career run the past two years, including her sixth Australian Open title in 2015, but she lost to Angelique Kerber in last year’s finals. Kerber finished 2016 as the No. 1 women’s player; despite losing in the first round of her warm-up event in Sydney, she’s a close second favorite to defend her championship at +350.

Tennis Odds: Djokovic, Murray Co-Favorites at Australian Open

The 105th Australian Open begins Monday in Melbourne, and at press time, the top two men’s players in the world are +150 co-favorites: No. 1 Andy Murray, and No. 2 Novak Djokovic. Murray has never won the Australian Open, losing four times to Djokovic in the finals – including last year in straight sets.

On the women’s draw, World’s No. 2 Serena Williams is the +200 favorite, while defending champion Angelique Kerber is second at +350. Kerber beat Williams two sets to one in last year’s finals, then took over the No. 1 spot with her first US Open title.

NBA : Timberwolves Aim to Slow Down Rockets

Shooting guard James Harden of the Houston Rockets is one of the top candidates for the Most Valuable Player award this season. On Wednesday, he'll lead the Rockets to Minnesota, where they'll face the Timberwolves.

Harden is flourishing under head coach Mike D'Antoni, ranking third in the league in scoring, first in assists and is registering over eight rebounds per game. The Rockets are also lighting it up from three-point land, ranking sixth in long-distance shooting percentage, which has them second in the league in points scored behind Golden State.

The young Timberwolves are struggling, although they have a decent nucleus in Karl-Anthony Towns, Andrew Wiggins and Zach LaVine. They've had 16 close games, losing by 10 points or less. They're also 16th in points allowed, which Minnesota would love to improve under defensive-minded head coach Tom Thibodeau.

The Rockets are 9-1 SU (eight straight wins) in their last 10 meetings with the Timberwolves, but only 4-6 ATS. The two met in Minnesota on December 17 with the Rockets pulling out an 111-109 overtime win. Harden posted 28 points, 13 assists and nine rebounds. Towns had 41 points, 16 boards and five assists for the Timberwolves.

NBA Odds: Rockets, Timberwolves Meet in Minnesota

The Houston Rockets beat the Minnesota Timberwolves on the road back in December and they'll aim to do it again on Wednesday.

The first meeting went to overtime after the Rockets stormed back from 12 down with just over two minutes to go. Houston went on to win 111-109. James Harden just missed a triple-double with 28 points, 13 assists and nine rebounds for the Rockets, while Karl-Anthony Towns countered with 41 points and 16 boards for the Timberwolves. Houston has now won nine of their last 10 against Minnesota, but they've covered in just four of those games.

NFL : Patriots Enormous Favourites Over Texans

The last time an NFL playoff team was laying this many points, Bill Clinton was the US president. The New England Patriots have opened as 16-point home favourites for Saturday's Divisional Round matchup (8:15 PM ET, CBS) with the Houston Texans. That's the biggest postseason spread since January 1999, when Randall Cunningham and the Minnesota Vikings beat the Arizona Cardinals 41-21 in Divisional play.

Bettors of all shapes and sizes are still flocking to New England (14-2 SU, 13-3 ATS) at this inflated price. The Patriots were the top dogs in the NFL during the regular season, and they'll be facing the Texans (9-7 SU, 6-9-1 ATS), one of the worst teams ever to make the playoffs. Houston took advantage of quarterback injuries to beat the Oakland Raiders 27-14 in last week's Wild Card game, cashing in as 4-point home favourites after opening at –3.

Brock Osweiler will start at quarterback for the Texans after putting in a good performance against Oakland. Tom Savage has cleared concussion protocol after getting hurt in Week 17, but head coach Bill O'Brien says he's sticking with Osweiler, who has had more bad times than good since signing with Houston in the offseason.

NFL Odds: Patriots Laying 16 Points to Texans

The New England Patriots (14-2 SU, 13-3 ATS) have opened as gigantic 16-point home favourites for Saturday's Divisional Round game against the Houston Texans (9-7 SU, 6-9-1 ATS), kicking off at 8:15 PM ET on CBS. That's the biggest NFL playoff spread in 18 years.

Houston will need another decent game from Brock Osweiler just to get the cover. The much-maligned Osweiler played well in the 27-14 Wild Card win over the hobbled Oakland Raiders (+4 away); even before Tom Savage cleared concussion protocol, head coach Bill O'Brien had named Osweiler his starter for Saturday's contest.

Entertainment : 74th Golden Globe Awards odds

The best and brightest in American film and television will be honored this Sunday (8 PM ET, NBC) at the Golden Globe Awards, live from the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, California. Winners will be selected by the 93 members of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, which has run the show since the beginning in 1943.

This year’s favorite for Best Motion Picture Drama is Manchester By the Sea at –150. The only viable competitor is Moonlight at +140. Manchester By the Sea has more star power, including Casey Affleck and Michelle Williams, so it’s more likely to earn the HFPA vote. Affleck is also the clear favorite at –350 to win Best Actor in a Motion Picture Drama after putting in a career-defining performance.

The Best Actress race is even more lopsided. Natalie Portman is –400 to win for her starring role in Jackie, where she portrays Jacqueline Kennedy. Both Portman and the film have received strong critical acclaim, with Oscars likely to follow. In the musical/comedy category, La La Land is the runaway favorite at –5000, with female lead Emma Stone pegged at –600 to win Best Actress, and Damian Chazelle checking in at –400 for Best Director.

Entertainment Odds: Golden Globes for Affleck, Portman?

The 74th Golden Globes take place this Sunday (8 PM ET, NBC) in Beverly Hills, and if the odds hold up, it should be a golden night for Casey Affleck (–350) and Natalie Portman (–400). They’re the heavy favorites to win Best Actor and Best Actress in a Motion Picture Drama.

Affleck was especially brilliant as the male lead in Manchester By the Sea, which is favored to win Best Motion Picture Drama at –150. Portman’s portrayal of Jacqueline Kennedy in the critically-acclaimed Jackie could earn her a few more trophies at next month’s Academy Awards.

NHL : Blue Jackets Look to Tie NHL Record

The Columbus Blue Jackets (27-5-4 SU, 24-12 ATS) will attempt to push their winning streak to 17 games on Thursday against the Washington Capitals (7PM ET on FOX). If they succeed, the Jackets would tie an NHL record for consecutive wins, which was set back in 1992-93 by the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Columbus leads the NHL with 58 points, seven ahead of the Capitals. Not surprisingly, the Blue Jackets have the league’s top offense, averaging 3.46 goals per game. That team stat is partially the result of a standout first half of the season by right winger Cam Atkinson (17 goals, 20 assists). Atkinson is on pace to smash his previous season high of 53 points, which he set last season.

The Capitals (23-9-5 SU, 12-25 ATS), meanwhile, are third in the Eastern Conference and are currently riding a three-game winning streak of their own, most recently defeating the Toronto Maple Leafs 6-5 in overtime on Tuesday. Their success is largely due to team defense; they sit first in the NHL for defense, giving up a miniscule 2.06 goals per game. Goaltender Brayden Holtby (1.98 goals against average, .929 save percentage) will look to continue his solid 2016-17 campaign and end the Jackets’ run one win short of the record.

NHL Odds: Ovechkin and the Capitals Look to End Jackets’ Streak

The Columbus Blue Jackets (27-5-4 SU, 24-12 ATS) are on a historic run. Winners of 16 straight games, they will take on Alex Ovechkin and the Washington Capitals (23-9-5 SU, 12-25 ATS) on Thursday night in a game that could see Columbus tie the longest winning streak in NHL history, at 17 games.

Thursday’s game (7 PM ET on FOX) will see a battle of the NHL’s top goaltenders, as the Jackets’ Sergei Bobrovsky (1.95 goals against average, .934 save percentage) faces off against Brayden Holtby (1.98 goals against average, .929 save percentage). This game will feature many of the NHL’s top players and could turn into a historic night for Ohio’s only NHL franchise.

NCAAF : Alabama-Clemson in Championship Rematch

Last year, the Alabama Crimson Tide beat the Clemson Tigers 45-40 to win the National Championship, but the Tigers beat the spread as 6-point underdogs. That’s the same spread at press time for Monday’s title rematch (8 PM ET, ESPN) at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida. Alabama opened at –7 before the money started pouring in; the total has also dipped from 52 points to 51.

The Crimson Tide could be –7 again by kick-off. They’re one of the most popular teams in college football, and they’ve been immensely profitable this year at 14-0 SU and 10-4 ATS. But there’s been some palace intrigue in Tuscaloosa, as offensive co-ordinator Lane Kiffin has already left the team after accepting the head coaching job at Florida Atlantic. Steve Sarkisian will take his place a little earlier than expected.

Clemson (13-1 SU, 7-7 ATS) looks better than last year’s squad, especially after blanking the Ohio State Buckeyes (–1.5) 31-0 in the College Football Playoff semi-finals. The Tigers haven’t won the National Championship since 1981; Alabama has claimed four titles (2009, 2011, 2012, 2015) since Nick Saban took over the program 10 years ago.

NCAAF Odds: Clemson Tigers Get Another Shot at ‘Bama

The Clemson Tigers beat the spread at last year’s National Championship Game, but they couldn’t beat the Alabama Crimson Tide. They’ll try again Monday night (8 PM ET, ESPN) in Tampa; the spread is the same at Alabama –6, down from –7 at the open, with a total of 51.

It’s been an amazing year for the Crimson Tide (14-0 SU, 10-4 ATS), but they might be in some disarray after offensive co-ordinator Lane Kiffin left the team – he’s coaching Florida Atlantic next year. That could be the difference-maker for the Tigers (13-1 SU, 7-7 ATS).

NFL : Streaking Packers Favoured Over Giants

The Green Bay Packers are the most popular team on the NFL betting market, and after winning six straight games to take down the NFC North title, the Packers get to play at home during Wild Card Weekend. They’ll host the New York Giants this Sunday, kicking off at 4:40 PM ET on FOX. Green Bay opened as a 4-point favourite before moving to –4.5 in early action.

This will be a classic matchup between the offensive-minded Packers (10-6 SU, 9-6-1 ATS) and the defensively-stout Giants (11-5 SU, 9-6-1 ATS). Quarterback Aaron Rodgers enjoyed another Pro Bowl-quality season for Green Bay, throwing an NFL-best 40 touchdown passes with just seven interceptions. New York’s defense was second in the league with 15 touchdown passes allowed, and tied for fifth overall at 10 rushing touchdowns.

Neither team is very good on the other side of the ball. Green Bay’s defense hasn’t been the same this year without cornerback Sam Shields (concussion), and Giants quarterback Eli Manning had yet another nondescript season with 26 touchdown throws and 16 picks. Sunday’s forecast calls for clear skies over Lambeau Field and temperatures in the mid-teens with a light breeze.

NFL Odds: Giants-Packers at Lambeau Field

Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers (10-6 SU, 9-6-1 ATS) rattled off six straight wins to claim the NFC North title. They’ll go for seven this Sunday when they host Eli Manning and the New York Giants (11-5 SU, 9-6-1 ATS), starting at 4:40 PM ET on FOX.

The Packers have become increasingly popular with every win, and they’re already picking up steam in this matchup, moving from –4 at the open to –4.5 in a matter of hours. Expect sunny skies over Lambeau with temperatures dipping into the mid-teens.

NBA : Bucks Visit Big Apple to Take on Knicks

Two teams vying to stay in the Eastern Conference playoff picture clash on Wednesday, when the New York Knicks host the Milwaukee Bucks. Tip-off is at 7:30 PM ET.

The Bucks have been powered by small forward Giannis Antetokounmpo and power forward Jabari Parker. Their recent ascents have contributed to the team’s second-place league ranking in field goal percentage. On the other side of the court, the Bucks are eighth in points allowed. Their +84 points differential is also eighth-best in the league. As far as potential goes, few teams have a higher upside than the Bucks right now.

The Knicks come into this game mired in their worst slump of the season. They lost at home to the Orlando Magic on Monday, extending their losing streak to five straight games and eight of their last 10. Their defense has held them back; they're 25th in points allowed.

This is the first matchup of the regular season between the Knicks and the Bucks. Milwaukee is 3-2 SU in their last five meetings with the Knicks, who’ve covered in three of those games. The Bucks’ last five trips to New York has generated the same 3-2 SU record.

NBA Odds: Knicks Welcome Bucks to New York

A meeting between two Eastern Conference playoff hopefuls highlights Wednesday's NBA schedule. At 7:30 PM ET, the New York Knicks face off with the Milwaukee Bucks at Madison Square Garden.

Giannis Antetokounmpo and Jabari Parker are red-hot right now and have helped lead the Bucks into the playoff picture. The Knicks, meanwhile, are entering the game playing their worst basketball of the season. After a 14-10 start, they’ve lost eight of their last 10 contests. The Knicks will likely be the underdogs in Wednesday’s matchup; they’re 2-3 SU and 3-2 ATS in their last five meetings against the Bucks.
