NFL Odds: Ravens Visit Chargers is Pivotal Saturday Night Matchup

With the coming of Week 16, football fans now find themselves in the midst of games that hold significant playoff implications. One of those games is this Saturday’s matchup between the Baltimore Ravens and the Los Angeles Chargers. Both clubs currently occupy playoff positions in the AFC. For the Ravens, however, they’ve yet to secure a playoff berth and have both the Indianapolis Colts and Tennessee Titans hot on their heels. Every win counts at this stage of the season, so Saturday will be a critical game.

At 8-6, the Baltimore Ravens have the slight edge over their AFC counterparts, the Colts and Titans, because of their superior winning percentage within the AFC. That said, a single loss will really hurt the Ravens’ chances at making the playoffs. Having not faced the Chargers yet this season, it’ll be interesting to see how the Ravens match up. Either way, Saturday will be the Ravens’ most important game of the season to date.

Los Angeles pulled off an incredible victory over the AFC West-leading Kansas City Chiefs on Thursday. They now have the opportunity to overtake the Chiefs in the division and earn a First Round Bye. A lot is riding on Saturday night’s matchup for both clubs, so be sure to tune in for the 8:20 PM ET kickoff.

NFL Odds: AFC Playoff Implications Run High on Saturday Night

This Saturday (8:20 PM ET), the Los Angeles Chargers welcome the Baltimore Ravens to town for a game that could determine both teams’ playoff futures. The Ravens are clinging to the final Wild Card spot in the AFC, so winning against the Chargers will be paramount for their playoff hopes.

The Chargers, meanwhile, are winners of four straight games, including an impressive 29-28 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs on Thursday. While the Chiefs have maintained their spot atop the AFC due to a better winning percentage within the division, Los Angeles could leapfrog the Chiefs with a victory on Saturday and a Chiefs’ loss against the Seahawks.

NFL Odds: Chargers and Ravens Clash as Playoff Picture Heats Up

Both the Los Angeles Chargers and Baltimore Ravens are in the thick of the playoff race, and Saturday night (8:20 PM ET) will have an impact on the playoff picture. The Chargers could overtake top spot in the AFC with a victory, while the Ravens need to win every victory if they hope to stave off the Colts and Titans. Don’t miss this critical matchup.

Saturday night puts the Los Angeles Chargers and Baltimore Ravens on a collision course for playoff certainty. While the Chargers have secured a spot already, they have their sights set on the Conference. Baltimore, however, is in a three-way tie with Indianapolis and Tennessee for the final Wild Card spot. They’ll need to win if they hope to keep pace. Game time is 8:20 PM ET.

It doesn’t get more exciting than Saturday night’s matchup between the Los Angeles Chargers and Baltimore Ravens. These AFC rivals are jockeying for playoff position, and the victory of Saturday night’s contest will surely send each team in different directions with only one week remaining in the NFL schedule. AFC rivals will do battle in Los Angeles this Saturday (8:20 PM ET) when the Chargers take on the Ravens. The Ravens are fighting for their playoff lives and will need to find a way to overtake the streaking Chargers if they hope to continue in the Wild Card race.

NFL Odds: Ravens, Chargers Jockey for AFC Playoff Position

If the NFL playoffs began today, the Baltimore Ravens (8-6 SU, 7-7 ATS) and Los Angeles Chargers (11-3 SU, 8-6 ATS) would make it in. But both teams will have plenty to play for when they meet this Saturday at the StubHub Center – especially the Ravens. Kick-off is at 8:20 PM ET on the NFL Network; odds are pending at press time.

The Chargers have already clinched a playoff spot in the AFC, thanks to their 29-28 comeback victory over the Kansas City Chiefs (–4 at home) in Week 15. However, the 11-3 Chiefs still hold the tiebreaker in the AFC West, so Los Angeles may have to settle for a Wild Card if they don’t come through on Saturday. A win, on the other hand, could put the Chargers on top of both the division and the conference.

Losing this game would be even worse for Baltimore. Thanks to tiebreakers, the Ravens hold down the second and final Wild Card berth in the AFC, but there are two other teams lurking at 8-6: the Indianapolis Colts and Tennessee Titans. The 7-7 Miami Dolphins and 6-7-1 Cleveland Browns are also still in the hunt heading into Week 16.

NFL Odds: Crunch Time for Ravens, Chargers

The Los Angeles Chargers (11-3 SU, 8-6 ATS) have already clinched a playoff spot, but they’re still chasing down Kansas City for the AFC West title and the No. 1 conference seed. They’ll host the Baltimore Ravens (8-6 SU, 7-7 ATS) this Saturday at 8:20 PM ET on the NFL Network.

The Ravens are No. 6 in the AFC through Week 15, but there’s no room for error this Saturday; Indianapolis and Tennessee are also 8-6, and there’s still hope for both Miami at 7-7 and Cleveland at 6-7-1. Odds for this matchup are pending at press time.

NFL Odds: Ravens-Chargers in Key AFC Matchup

Playoff position will be on the line this Saturday (8:20 PM ET, NFLN) when the 11-3 Los Angeles Chargers host the 8-6 Baltimore Ravens. They hold the two AFC Wild Card berths through Week 15, but LA can still win the AFC West, while Baltimore can miss the playoffs entirely.

NBA Odds: Cratering Bulls Visit San Antonio

The Chicago Bulls (6-22 SU, 13-15 ATS) are the worst team in the Eastern Conference, but they may have yet to hit rock-bottom. After a near-mutiny against new head coach Jim Boylen, the Bulls will visit the San Antonio Spurs (14-14 SU, 14-13-1 ATS) this Saturday, beginning at 8:30 PM ET.

The rebuilding Bulls fired Fred Hoiberg on December 3 after starting the year at 5-19, although injuries played a large part in their demise. Boylen came in and immediately started cracking the whip, insulting his players in public and putting them through an old-school vigorous practice regimen. They responded by losing three of their first four games at 2-2 ATS, and have reportedly complained to the NBPA and the Bulls front office about Boylen’s methods.

Meanwhile, the Spurs have won three straight SU and ATS to start their six-game home stand. The “other” player in the Kawhi Leonard-DeMar DeRozan trade, center Jakob Poeltl, is finally getting a chance to show his stuff, and Poeltl has delivered off the bench in December, posting a healthy plus-9.5 in 18.5 minutes per game. That’s up from 12.8 minutes in November, when the Spurs were struggling at 5-10 SU and 6-9 ATS.

NBA Odds: Bulls Nearing Collapse in San Antonio

The Chicago Bulls (6-22 SU, 13-15 ATS) are not responding well to new head coach Jim Boylen. They might not have much fight in them Saturday night when they visit the San Antonio Spurs (14-14 SU, 14-13-1 ATS); game time is 8:30 PM ET.

The Bulls are 1-3 SU and 2-2 ATS since Boylen replaced Fred Hoiberg. Players have already complained to Chicago’s front office and the NBPA about Boylen’s heavy-handed use of long practice sessions. San Antonio can take advantage – they’ve won three straight SU and ATS, getting strong play off the bench from center Jakob Poeltl.

NBA Odds: Bulls-Spurs at AT&T Center - The San Antonio Spurs (14-14 SU, 14-13-1 ATS) will get a crack this Saturday at the worst team in the East, the Chicago Bulls (6-22 SU, 13-15 ATS). Tip-off is 8:30 PM ET; the Bulls have lost three of four (2-2 ATS) since Jim Boylen replaced head coach Fred Hoiberg.

The San Antonio Spurs have won three straight SU and ATS to even their record at 14-14. This Saturday (8:30 PM ET), they’ll host the 6-22 Chicago Bulls, who are 1-3 SU and 2-2 ATS since firing head coach Fred Hoiberg and promoting Jim Boylen.

The 14-14 San Antonio Spurs will host the 6-22 Chicago Bulls this Saturday, starting at 8:30 PM ET. The Bulls are 1-3 SU and 2-2 ATS under new and highly controversial head coach Jim Boylen.

The worst team in the Eastern Conference, the 6-22 Chicago Bulls, will visit the 14-14 San Antonio Spurs this Saturday night at 8:30 PM ET.

NHL Odds: Maple Leafs Take on Tampa Bay

The two highest-scoring teams in the NHL will face off this Thursday when the Tampa Bay Lightning host the Toronto Maple Leafs (7:30 PM ET). Not only are these two clubs at the top of the league offensively, they also sit first and second in the NHL standings. As a result, Thursday night’s matchup could be a preview of an Eastern Conference playoff showdown come spring.

There’s no hotter team in the NHL right now than the Tampa Bay Lightning. They’ve put together seven straight victories and have won 12 of their last 14 games dating back to mid-November. Led by Nikita Kucherov (12 goals, 33 assists), the Tampa roster has seven players with at least 20 points this season. With that firepower, Tampa is averaging four goals a game.

Like the Lightning, Toronto is lethal offensively. Despite having superstars John Tavares and Auston Matthews at centre, Mitch Marner leads the way in points for the Leafs with 6 goals and 35 assists through 31 games. Backed by Frederik Andersen in net, Toronto may be one of the few teams that can score with the Lightning, while also posing a significant challenge for Tampa’s offensive attack. This game will be a true measuring stick for both clubs, so be sure to catch the action.

NHL Odds: NHL Elite Meet in Tampa Bay

The Toronto Maple Leafs continue their road trip this Thursday when they head south for a date with the Tampa Bay Lightning. Toronto is 6-3-1 in their last 10 games and coming off of a 4-1 victory over the Carolina Hurricanes on Tuesday.

Tampa Bay is riding a seven-game winning streak and leads the Leafs by six points in the standings. While Tampa seems nearly untouchable at the moment, the Leafs’ Fredrick Andersen will be keen to shut down the dynamic Lightning offense. Auston Matthews and the Toronto Maple Leafs will be up against Nikita Kucherov and the Tampa Bay Lightning this Thursday (7:30 PM ET) as the top clubs in the NHL face off. These two clubs lead all others at the offensive end of the ice, so look for a high-scoring affair in this one.

NHL Odds: Leafs-Bolts in Battle of Eastern Beasts

The Toronto Maple Leafs (20-9-1) have the gang back together. Auston Matthews is healthy, and William Nylander has been signed to a contract extension; the only thing left for Toronto is to chase down the Tampa Bay Lightning (23-7-1) for first place in the standings. They’ll meet Thursday night in Florida; Sportsnet Ontario will provide the coverage at 7:30 PM ET.

Matthews (16 goals in 16 games) made his return in late November after missing a month of action with a shoulder injury. Nylander (20 goals, plus-20 last year) has played twice since ending his contract holdout. Working both forwards into the fold could be tricky; the Leafs have suffered back-to-back losses while juggling their assignments in search of the right line combinations.

The Lightning, meanwhile, have remained on top despite losing No. 1 netminder Andrei Vasilevskiy (.927 save percentage) to a broken foot. Louis Domingue (.906 SV%) has a personal record of 10-3 in relief, although Tampa scored at least four goals in nine of those games. The Bolts are No. 1 in the league at 3.94 goals per game, driving the Over to a 16-13-2 record with Toronto second at 3.63 goals (Over 14-13-3).

Following an improbable Week 14 victory over the Baltimore Ravens, the Chiefs (11-2) clinched a playoff berth and held on to first place in the AFC West.

With an impressive 10-3 record, Los Angeles sits in the first Wild Card spot in the AFC and just one game behind Kansas City. While Los Angeles ranks a respectable sixth in the NFL in team offense, averaging 28.3 points per game, the Chiefs lead the league with 37 points scored per game. NFL Odds: Rams-Bears on Sunday Night Football

Sunday night?s game between the Los Angeles Rams (11-1 SU, 5-6-1 ATS) and the Chicago Bears (8-4 SU and ATS) will be a high-octane matchup between two NFC division leaders. The big question for the game is whether Chicago starting QB Mitchell Trubisky (97.7 passer rating) will suit up after missing the last two games with a shoulder injury. Trubisky feels confident that he?ll be able to start, and the sentiment is echoed by head coach Matt Nagy.
Bet on football at Bovada and get a free 50% bonus.
Chase Daniel (90.6 rating) delivered mixed results in relief of Trubisky, splitting a pair of road games straight up and against the spread for the Bears. Before that, the Bears had won four straight games SU and ATS.

The Rams, meanwhile, are just 2-6-1 ATS since sweeping their first three games in dominant fashion. Their defense hasn?t been as strong as they hoped after loading up on talent during the offseason ? although the arrival of LB Dante Fowler Jr. at the trade deadline has helped somewhat. But will they be motivated for Sunday?s visit to Solider Field after already clinching the NFC West? Kick-off is at 8:20 PM ET on NBC.

NHL Odds: Canadiens Face Senators in Ottawa

Thursday night features the second game of a home and home between Atlantic Division rivals. Montreal enters Thursday night?s contest with two wins of their last three games, including a win over the same Senators club just two nights prior. Ottawa, meanwhile, had won three straight games before Tuesday?s 5-2 loss. Now on home ice, Ottawa will look to get back on track and split the mini-series with the Habs.

The Senators have struggled with consistency so far this season, putting up a 12-13-3 record. Those struggles have largely been due to Ottawa?s inability to keep the puck out of their own net. They rank dead last in the NHL in goals against per game (4.04) and are -14 in goal differential. Without their highly productive offense (3.63 goals scored per game), things could be much worse for the Sens.
The Canadiens are coming off of a down stretch that resulted in them losing six of seven games prior to Tuesday night?s win. They, too, have struggled in their own end so far this season, surrendering an average of 3.26 goals per game. Goaltender Carey Price hasn?t yet recaptured his MVP form, but he?ll look to build off of a solid start against the Sens this Thursday (7:30 PM ET).

Coming off of an impressive 5-2 victory over the Ottawa Senators Tuesday night, the Montreal Canadiens will attempt to make it two in a row as the teams conclude a home and home this Thursday. With a 13-10-5 record, the Habs have found ways to win despite significant challenges defensively.

Boston may finally be getting out of the funk that?s kept them well behind the Toronto Raptors in the Atlantic race. Head coach Brad Stevens has shuffled his lineup, bringing in Gordon Hayward off the bench as a sixth man while trying different players in the starting five. The Celtics are 4-3 SU and ATS since making the change. Jaylen Brown, who?s day-to-day with a bruised tailbone, could also join the bench mob when he makes his return.

The Knicks are last in the Atlantic, but they?ve performed admirably without Kristaps Porzingis, who has yet to make his season debut after undergoing knee surgery in February. Lance Thomas (knee) remains out indefinitely; Courtney Lee (neck) and Trey Burke (knee) are listed as day-to-day. New York are 4-4 SU and 6-2 ATS over their past eight games, including a 117-109 win over Boston as 14.5-point road dogs.

NFL Odds: Rams take on Bears on Sunday Night Football

This Sunday?s matchup between the Chicago Bears and Los Angeles Rams features two teams that seem destined to go far in the NFC bracket. Both squads lead their respective divisions, and Los Angeles has pulled into first in the league following New Orleans? loss to Dallas this past Sunday. Chicago has sputtered of late due to an injury to their starting QB Mitch Trubisky. Now coming off of a loss to the New York Giants in Week 13, the Bears will be focused on getting back into the win column.

Bet on football at Bovada and get a free 50% bonus.
Mitch Trubisky hasn?t thrown a football since Week 11 against the Minnesota Vikings, and the Bears are being quiet about the starter?s likelihood of returning against the Rams. That may mean that backup Chase Daniels will be back under center in Week 14. Daniels hasn?t thrown for more than 300 yards in either of his replacement starts, so Chicago has had to lean heavily on their defense to win games. That defense will be seriously challenged against one of the best offences in the NFL this Sunday.

The Rams rank second in points scored per game (35.4), and with Jared Goff and Todd Gurley going strong, this team can outmatch even the best defenses in the league. LA has won three-straight games coming into Sunday night?s matchup and will be keen to hand Chicago their second straight loss. Kick off is 8:20 PM ET.

NFL Odds: Bears Host Rams this Sunday
Sunday Night Football is shaping up to be a dandy between the league-leading Los Angeles Rams and the NFC North-leading Chicago Bears. The 11-1 Rams, on the other hand, are winners of three-straight games and have the league?s second-best offense. Jared Goff is in the top five of nearly every relevant QB category, but he?ll see a lot of Khalil Mack and the rest of the Bears? defense Sunday night. NBA Odds: Raptors Host Sixers on ESPN

The Toronto Raptors (20-4 SU, 12-12 ATS) have the best record in the NBA, and they?re getting the attention that comes with it. The Raptors will lead off ESPN?s Wednesday double-header at 8 PM ET when they host the Philadelphia 76ers (17-8 SU, 11-14 ATS). It?s their second meeting of the season; Toronto won the first 129-112 as 6-point home favourites.

That was on October 30, before the 76ers acquired swingman Jimmy Butler from the Minnesota Timberwolves. Three of Philadelphia?s starters from that game are no longer in the lineup: Robert Covington and Dario Saric, who went to Minnesota in the Butler deal, and Markelle Fultz, who?s away from the team with a lingering shoulder ailment. The Sixers are 8-2 SU and 5-5 ATS with Butler on board.

The Raptors, meanwhile, were close to full strength during their first encounter. Fred VanVleet was unavailable; he?s healthy now, but Norman Powell is out with a shoulder injury of his own. Kyle Lowry missed Saturday?s 106-95 win over the Cleveland Cavaliers (+12.5 at home) with a sore back, although Saturday may have been more of a maintenance day for Lowry than anything else.

NBA Odds: Wounded Warriors Visit Pistons

Life could be worse for the Golden State Warriors (15-7 SU, 9-13 ATS). They?re still the team to beat in the NBA, but their performance level is way down this year, thanks in large part to injures and palace intrigue. The Warriors hope to have at least one of their top stars back in action this Saturday when they visit the Detroit Pistons (11-7 SU, 10-8 ATS), tipping off at 7 PM ET.
Bet on basketball at Bovada and get a free 50% bonus.
PG Stephen Curry, the two-time league MVP and the cornerstone of Golden State?s success, has been scrimmaging with the team after missing the last 10 games with a tender groin. There?s a chance Curry will return for Thursday?s road game against the Toronto Raptors; if not, Saturday should do it. Forward Draymond Green (toe) is expected to miss both games for the Dubs.

The Pistons are relatively healthy, and they?re getting results in their first season under Dwane Casey ? the reigning NBA Coach of the Year, who was let go by the Raptors after yet another early playoff exit. However, the Pistons have faced a soft schedule thus far, and center Andre Drummond hasn?t played nearly as well as he did during his All-Star 2017-18 campaign.

NBA Odds: Will Curry Play for Warriors in Motown?

The Golden State Warriors (15-7 SU, 9-13 ATS) haven?t played like world-beaters this year, but they hope to have Stephen Curry back in the lineup for Saturday?s road game against the Detroit Pistons (11-7 SU, 10-8 ATS). Tip-off is at 7 PM ET.

Curry has missed the last 10 games for Golden State with a tender groin, but could return as soon as this Thursday. Draymond Green (toe), on the other hand, remains unlikely to play in Detroit. Damion Lee (illness) and Alfonzo McKinnie (foot) are also listed as day-to-day. The Dubs have gone 2-8 ATS in Curry?s absence.

NBA Odds: Pistons Host Injury-Plagued Warriors - The Detroit Pistons (11-7 SU, 10-8 ATS) have a chance to kick the Golden State Warriors (15-7 SU, 9-13 ATS) while they?re down. The Dubs are 5-5 SU and 2-8 ATS since Stephen Curry hurt his groin, but he could be back for Saturday?s game (7 PM ET) in Motown.

The Golden State Warriors (15-7 SU, 9-13 ATS) could have Stephen Curry back this Saturday night when they visit the Detroit Pistons (11-7 SU, 10-8 ATS). Game time is 7 PM ET; the Dubs are 2-8 ATS since Curry went down with a groin injury.

Two-time MVP Stephen Curry might return from his groin injury this Saturday night when the Golden State Warriors (15-7 SU, 9-13 ATS) visit the Detroit Pistons (11-7 SU, 10-8 ATS), beginning at 7 PM ET.

The 15-7 Golden State Warriors ? perhaps with Stephen Curry (groin) in uniform ? will visit the 11-7 Detroit Pistons this Saturday night at 7 PM ET.

NHL Odds: Rangers-Habs in Saturday Night Showdown

Nearly two months into the regular season, there?s not much separation between the contenders and the pretenders in the Eastern Conference. Two very closely-matched teams will meet this Saturday when the Montreal Canadiens host the New York Rangers; the puck drops at 7 PM ET on Sportsnet.

The Rangers (13-10-2) find themselves in third place in the Metropolitan Division, but they won?t make the playoffs unless they improve their performance level. New York have played a home-heavy schedule thus far, going 10-4 at Madison Square Garden and 3-6-2 on the road. They also have a minus-1 goal differential, and top RW Mats Zuccarello has missed back-to-back games with a groin injury.

After five straight losses, the Canadiens (11-9-5) have fallen to fifth place in the Atlantic Division standings with a minus-6 goal differential. They?ve played a much stronger schedule than the Rangers, but when they met on November 6, it was New York winning 5-3 as ?120 home favourites. Three Habs have gone on injured reserve since then: wingers Paul Byron and Nikita Scherbak (lower body), and defenseman Noah Juulsen (face). However, the team has already benefitted from the return of captain Shea Weber, who posted an assist against the Carolina Hurricanes in his first game back on Tuesday.

NFL Odds: Chargers-Steelers on Sunday Night Football

Two of the NFL?s better teams will clash this Sunday when the Los Angeles Chargers (8-3 SU, 6-5 ATS) visit the Pittsburgh Steelers (7-3-1 SU, 6-4-1 ATS) at 8:20 PM ET on NBC. The Steelers have opened as 3.5-point favorites, while the total at press time has already dipped from 52.5 to 51.5.

Despite RB Le?Veon Bell?s protracted holdout, which will now cover the entire 2018 campaign, the Steelers are first in the AFC North ? although their six-game winning streak was snapped last week by the Denver Broncos, who prevailed 24-17 as 3.5-point home dogs. RB James Connor coughed up a fumble in that loss; ball protection has been an issue for Connor, taking some of the starch out of his 4.6 yards per carry.

The Chargers are enjoying their best season since they won four straight AFC West titles in their first four years with Phillip Rivers at quarterback. Rivers (115.7 passer rating) is performing as well as ever, thanks in part to RB Melvin Gordon (5.2 yards per carry), who?s giving the Chargers the punch they?ve lacked ever since LaDainian Tomlinson left town. Their last game was a 45-10 trouncing of the Arizona Cardinals as 14-point home favorites.

NFL Odds: Division Leads Head-to-Head in Dallas

The leaders of the NFC South and NFC East clash this Thursday, with Dak Prescott and the Dallas Cowboys welcoming Drew Brees? New Orleans Saints to town. Thanksgiving Thursday was a big day for both of these clubs, but with a win over the Washington Redskins that resulted in Dallas overtaking the NFC East, they?ll be riding high against the league?s top team this Thursday.

Drew Brees is an early favourite for league MVP this season and the 39-year-old isn?t slowing down. The veteran leads all starting QBs with a 127.3 QB rating this year and has guided his offense to a league-best 37.2 points per game clip through 12 weeks. Following the Saints? 31-17 victory over the Atlanta Falcons on Thursday, New Orleans owns a 10-1 record and a stranglehold on the division.
Dallas, meanwhile, is in the midst of resurrecting their season. That resurrection has, in part, been due to the addition of WR Amari Cooper. Against Washington last week, Cooper collected 180 passing yards and 2 TDs to lead Dallas to a critical divisional victory. The talented receiver will be back at it on Thursday as the ?Boys try to keep pace with the Saints? dynamic offense. Kick off is 8:20 PM ET.

NFL Odds: League-Best Saints take on Cowboys
Thursday Night Football will feature two teams that are riding huge momentum. The Dallas Cowboys are coming off of a critical victory that resulted in Dallas overtaking Washington for first place in the NFC East. They?ve been able to flex some defensive muscle of late, holding opponents to 20 points or less in four of their last five games, but they?ll be challenged against the Saints? league-best offense.
Bet on football at Bovada and get a free 50% bonus.
New Orleans hasn?t lost since Week 2 and are pacing the league with 37.2 points-per-game. A big reason for that success has been the Saints? offensive line, which has only allowed 11 sacks all year. It?ll be up to the Cowboys? defense to neutralize the Saints? passing game if they hope to come away victorious.

NFL Odds: Saints, Cowboys Clash as Division Leaders

In the blink of an eye, the Dallas Cowboys (6-5 SU and ATS) have risen to the top of the NFC East. But they can?t stop now. A win this Thursday over the New Orleans Saints (10-1 SU, 9-2 ATS) would do wonders for Big D?s playoff hopes. The Saints are already on the verge of clinching the NFC South, and they?ve covered nine straight games after getting off to a slow start. Nobody has been better poised to take advantage of the league?s new offense-friendly rules; New Orleans have one of the very best attacks in the NFL, more than making up for their weaknesses on defense.

One thing the Saints? defense can do well: stuff the run. That?s bad news for the Cowboys, who rely heavily on RB Ezekiel Elliott (4.9 yards per carry) behind an offensive line that?s been compromised by multiple injuries. Dallas hope to have LT Tyron Taylor back in action this week after he sat out Thanksgiving Day with neck and elbow issues, despite being listed as active for Week 12.

NFL Odds: Packers-Vikings in Critical NFC North Matchup

Making the playoffs is already a dicey proposition for both the Green Bay Packers (4-5-1 SU and ATS) and the Minnesota Vikings (5-4-1 SU and ATS). One of these two rivals should see their chances improve when they meet Sunday night in Minneapolis, kicking off at 8:20 PM ET on NBC; the Vikings are 3-point favorites (?120) with a total of 48 at press time after opening at ?3.5.

When these same two teams met at Lambeau Field back in Week 2, the game ended in a 29-29 tie, allowing the Packers to cover as 2-point home dogs. Green Bay, on the other hand, have lost three of four at 2-1-1 ATS since taking the bye in Week 7.

The Packers will be in deeper trouble this week if TE Jimmy Graham can?t play, which seems likely at this point. Graham has a broken thumb and is expected to miss multiple games, although he says he will ?try to play? through his injury; he?s second on the team with 34 catches.

NHL Odds: Leafs-Jackets in Battle of First-Place Teams

It would have been unthinkable not too long ago, but the Toronto Maple Leafs (15-6) and Columbus Blue Jackets (12-7-2) are both on top of their respective divisions heading into the American Thanksgiving break. They?ll meet this Friday in what should be an entertaining game at Nationwide Arena; TSN4 has the opening face-off at 7 PM ET.

This will be a rematch of Monday?s game in Toronto, which the Leafs won 4-2 as ?145 favourites on a pair of late third-period goals by Zach Hyman. That?s four wins in a row for Toronto, who find themselves alone atop the Stanley Cup futures market at +400, well ahead of the Blue Jackets at +1600. And they?ve done it despite Auston Matthews missing 10 games thus far with an injured left shoulder. He isn?t due back until December.

Monday?s loss snapped Columbus? win streak at three games, but they?re still the top team in the Metropolitan Division, with superior puck possession stats to Toronto?s. The Blue Jackets are completely healthy, and they?re getting solid goaltending from Sergei Bobrovsky (.915 save percentage), but No. 2 netminder Joonas Korpisalo (.885 SV%) has been a disappointment in his fourth year as their back-up plan.

NHL Odds: Canadiens Visit Thinned-Out Devils

The Montreal Canadiens (11-6-3) haven?t missed back-to-back playoffs since the turn of the millennium. They?d earn a Wild Card berth in the Eastern Conference if the regular season ended today, but they?re only 20 games in, so there?s a lot more work to do ? including Wednesday?s matchup with the New Jersey Devils (8-9-2). Sportsnet One has the coverage from Newark starting at 7 PM ET.

The Devils, who are off to a slow start in 2018-19 after ending their five-year postseason drought, will have to play this one without their top defenseman. Sami Vatanen (22:16 ice time per game) was placed on injured reserve Saturday with an unspecified lower-body ailment. Vatanen isn?t eligible to return until Friday.

Montreal have played all season without their top defenseman and new team captain, Shea Weber, who isn?t expected back from offseason knee surgery until early December ? which is already ahead of schedule. They?ve made up for it in part with strong puck possession in the offensive zone, but poor face-offs aren?t helping matters; the Habs are last in the league at 45.1%. That includes 42.4% from their preferred second-line option, leading scorer Max Domi (10 goals, 14 assists).

NFL Odds: Cowboys Host Redskins on Thanksgiving Football

After a critical turn of events in Week 11, the Dallas Cowboys will have the opportunity to pull even with the NFC East-leading Washington Redskins. The Cowboys (5-5) resurrected their seemingly lost season with an important victory over the Atlanta Falcons last week to give themselves a chance at first place in the division. Dallas? cause was helped by a Week 11 loss by the Redskins, as they dropped a late fourth-quarter lead to the Houston Texans. Not only did Washington lose the game, they also lost their starting QB Alex Smith for the season.

Bet on football at Bovada and get a free 50% bonus.
In what has been a strength of the team all season, the Cowboys? defense showed up big time in Week 11 against the Falcons. Demarcus Lawrence was a man possessed, registering 1.5 sacks, while last week?s Defensive Player of the Week, LB Leighton Vander Esch, turned in another huge performance with a game-changing interception in the fourth quarter. That solid D allowed Dak Prescott to manage the game to victory.
Washington has already defeated the Cowboys this regular season in a 20-17 victory in Week 7. But after losing two of their last three games, they?ve allowed Dallas to climb back into the NFC East race. Combined with the fact that the Redskins will now be faced with playing the rest of the season without Alex Smith, the dramatics of a Dallas-Washington matchup will be on full display for Thanksgiving football.

NFL Odds: The Redskins look to hold off the Cowboys on Thursday -
After suffering a gruesome injury which resulted in a severely broken leg, the Washington Redskins? Alex Smith is done for the season. NBA Odds: Jazz-Lakers on NBA-TV

LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers (9-7 SU, 6-10 ATS) are starting to look like contenders. The jury is still out on the Utah Jazz (8-9 SU and ATS). They?ll lock horns this Friday at Staples Center; NBA-TV has the tip-off at 10:30 PM ET.

The Lakers have won five of their last six games at 3-3 ATS after getting off to a slow start in LeBron?s LA debut. James scored 51 points in his last outing, Sunday?s 113-97 win over his former employers, the Miami Heat (+1.5 at home). However, point guard Rajon Rondo broke his right hand last week and isn?t expected to return until sometime in December after undergoing successful surgery.

Utah are fully healthy at this point, but they?ve split their last six games SU and ATS as they continue to struggle at both ends of the court. Rookie of the Year runner-up Donovan Mitchell isn?t playing at quite the same level as a sophomore, hitting just 29.3% from downtown. Ricky Rubio (a career-low 35.2%) is also having difficulty from long range. As a result, the Jazz have a minus-2.5 point differential on the season, well below the Lakers at plus-1.2.

NBA Odds: Lakers Host Jazz in First Post-Thanksgiving Game
Maybe this LeBron James thing will work out after all. The Los Angeles Lakers (9-7 SU, 6-10 ATS) have won five of their last six games; they?ll host the struggling Utah Jazz (8-9 SU and ATS) this Friday at 10:30 PM ET on NBA-TV.

James is coming off Sunday?s 51-point performance in a 113-97 win over one of his former teams, the Miami Heat (+1.5 at home). Unfortunately, LeBron and the Lakers will have to make do without point guard Rajon Rondo (broken hand) until December. The Jazz are healthy, but they?re 3-3 SU and ATS in their last six.

The Los Angeles Lakers (9-7 SU, 6-10 ATS) are on a roll, winning five of their last six, and they can take advantage of the struggling Utah Jazz (8-9 SU and ATS) this Friday at Staples Center. NBA-TV have the coverage at 10:30 PM ET.

The cold-shooting Utah Jazz (8-9 SU and ATS), at just 32.3% from behind the arc, visit LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers (9-7 SU, 6-10 ATS) this Friday at 10:30 PM ET on NBA-TV.

NHL Odds: Battle of Alberta on Hockey Night in Canada

They’ve met 268 times since the WHA folded and the Atlanta Flames moved north. They’ll meet again this Saturday when the Calgary Flames host the Edmonton Oilers, starting at 10 PM ET on CBC. Calgary lead the series 130-119-19 overall, but Edmonton have won seven of the last nine games. This will be their first encounter of the 2018-19 campaign.

Bet on hockey at Bodog and get a free 100% bonus.

The Flames (10-7-1) have the upper hand so far this season, which is their first under new head coach Bill Peters, who spent the last four years behind the Carolina Hurricanes bench. They’re healthy, and their puck possession stats are strong, but Calgary are dead-even on the year with a goal differential of zero. They’re getting better results lately with back-up netminder David Rittich (.935 save percentage) alternating starts with incumbent No. 1 Mike Smith (.877 SV%).

Edmonton (9-8-1) are still trying to make the leap they expected after drafting Connor McDavid first overall in 2015. McDavid remains one of the very best players in the game, but the Oilers have lost four of their last five, with poor results on face-offs and disappointing goaltending from starter Cam Talbot. Back-up Mikko Koskinen handled Tuesday’s 6-2 win over the Montreal Canadiens (+130 away).

NHL Odds: Oilers, Flames Renew Battle of Alberta

Expect plenty of fireworks this Saturday (10 PM ET, CBC) when the 10-7-1 Calgary Flames host the 9-8-1 Edmonton Oilers on Hockey Night in Canada. These Albertan rivals don’t play nice, and the Flames should be extra-truculent after losing seven of their last nine meetings with Edmonton.

Bet on hockey at Bodog and get a free 100% bonus.

Both teams have gotten strong performances this year from their back-up goalies. Calgary’s results have improved with David Rittich between the pipes instead of Mike Smith, which has happened more often lately, while the Oilers have had more success with little-used Mikko Koskinen than incumbent starter Cam Talbot.

The 10-7-1 Calgary Flames will be out for revenge this Saturday when they host the 9-8-1 Edmonton Oilers on Hockey Night in Canada, beginning at 10 PM ET on CBC. The Oilers have won the Battle of Alberta seven times in their past nine meetings.

This Saturday’s Hockey Night in Canada double-header will wrap up at 10 PM on CBC with the 10-7-1 Calgary Flames hosting the 9-8-1 Edmonton Oilers, in the latest must-see episode of the Battle of Alberta.

NBA Odds: Can Rockets Cover Kings Minus ‘Melo?

It isn’t official yet at press time, but it looks like the Houston Rockets (6-7 SU, 5-8 ATS) are consciously uncoupling from Carmelo Anthony. That should give the Rockets added betting value this Saturday when they host the Sacramento Kings (8-6 SU, 9-5 ATS); tip-off is at 8 PM ET. Houston are 2-1 SU and ATS since Anthony was put on the shelf with an undisclosed illness.

Bet on basketball at Bovada and get a free 50% bonus.

That illness appears to be a front. The Rockets are said to be in discussions with Anthony and his representatives about what his role will be going forward; all indications are that the former All-Star has played his last game for Houston. Rookie Gary Clark has taken on a larger role in Anthony’s absence, although he left Tuesday’s win over the Denver Nuggets with a hip contusion and is listed as day-to-day.

The Kings, meanwhile, are finally reaping the rewards from all those years of tanking. Point guard De’Aaron Fox (drafted No. 5 overall in 2017) has made significant progress as a sophomore, joining center Willie Cauley-Stein (No. 6, 2015) in a promising young lineup that’s been bolstered by the arrival of veterans PF Nemanja Bjelica and SG Iman Shumpert.

The Rockets appear to be moving on from Carmelo Anthony – a very good idea at this point. However, his replacement at power forward, rookie Gary Clark, suffered a hip contusion on Tuesday and remains day-to-day at press time. Clark has given Houston the defensive presence Anthony has lacked for virtually his whole career.

With Carmelo Anthony no longer in uniform, the Houston Rockets (6-7 SU, 5-8 ATS) hope to continue their recovery this Saturday when they host the Sacramento Kings (8-6 SU, 9-5 ATS), beginning at 8 PM ET. The Rockets are 2-1 SU and ATS since Anthony was shelved with an “illness.”

The Houston Rockets (6-7 SU, 5-8 ATS), presumably without Carmelo Anthony, will host the much-improved Sacramento Kings (8-6 SU, 9-5 ATS) this Saturday at 8 PM ET. Houston are 2-1 SU and ATS minus Anthony.

NFL Odds: NFC North Divisional Showdown on Sunday Night Football

The Chicago Bears’ rise from mediocrity continued in Week 10 with a dominant victory over the Detroit Lions. While the Lions are certainly not in the upper echelon of the league, the Bears showed that their team is a threat on both sides of the ball. Meanwhile, the Minnesota Vikings are coming off of a Bye Week and will look to field a healthier team than they’ve had in weeks as they attempt to regain their divisional lead.

The Bears are riding a 3-game winning streak and unsurprisingly, Chicago’s defense has been at the center of that success. They’ve allowed an average of just 13 points per game over that span and now sit in fourth in the NFL in points allowed per game (19.4). Led by LB Khalil Mack, who drives the Bears’ defense with 7 sacks on the season, Chicago has found success with a focus on defense.

Minnesota comes into Chicago a rested and hopefully healthier team. Minnesota has been missing several starters, including WR Stefon Diggs, over the past weeks and welcomed the week off. Starting this Sunday, the Vikes face NFC North divisional teams in four of their remaining seven games, so they’ll need to find their stride if they hope to hold on to a playoff spot. Sunday’s game will go a long way in affirming their stance atop the division. Game time is 8:20 PM ET.

NFL Odds: Defensive Juggernauts Meet in Chicago

This Sunday, the Minnesota Vikings and Chicago Bears will clash in the first of two meetings this season. After a victory over the Detroit Lions in Week 10, the Bears now lead the NFC North. QB Mitch Trubisky is coming off of one of his best games of the year after throwing for 355 years and three TD, including one rushing TD. He’ll try to duplicate that success against a stingy Vikings defense.

Minnesota will be tasked with getting back up to speed after a Bye Week in Week 10. Now trailing the Bears by one game in the division, Kirk Cousins and the Vikings will need to find a way to break through the Bears’ stifling defense, led by Khalil Mack. Kick-off is 8:20 PM ET.

NFL Odds: Packers-Seahawks in “Must-Win” for Both Teams

It may only be Week 11 out of 17, but Thursday night’s game between the Green Bay Packers (4-4-1 SU, 4-5 ATS) and Seattle Seahawks (4-5 SU, 5-3-1 ATS) is a virtual “must-win” for both clubs. The Seahawks are 3-point home favorites at press time with a total of 49.5.

The Seahawks need this game even more than Green Bay. They’re five wins behind the 9-1 Los Angeles Rams in the NFC West, while the Packers are within earshot of the 6-3 Chicago Bears in the NFC North. The two Wild Card spots in the NFC are currently held down by the 6-3 Carolina Panthers and the 5-3-1 Minnesota Vikings.

Seattle have won each of their last three meetings at home with the Packers, all during the Pete Carroll-Russell Wilson Era. But after covering the first two games, they needed a crazy late fourth-quarter comeback and overtime to beat Green Bay 28-22 as 8.5-point favorites in the 2014-15 NFC title game. These two teams have met three times at Lambeau Field since then, with the Packers winning all three games SU and ATS. FOX has the coverage at 8:20 PM ET.

NBA Odds: Post-Butler Wolves Host Pelicans

Now that Jimmy Butler is being shipped out of town, can the Minnesota Timberwolves (4-9 SU, 5-8 ATS) get their season back on track? They’ll host the New Orleans Pelicans (6-6 SU, 5-7 ATS) this Wednesday at 8 PM ET on ESPN; newcomers Dario Saric and Robert Covington should be ready for the Timberwolves, provided the Butler trade with the Philadelphia 76ers is finalized on Monday and they pass their physicals as expected.

Both Saric and Covington could find themselves in Minnesota’s starting lineup on Wednesday. Saric would be an upgrade over PF Taj Gibson, while Covington would take over for Butler at small forward. However, the Wolves rotation remains in flux with Jeff Teague (knee), Derrick Rose (face) and Andrew Wiggins (quadriceps) all listed as day-to-day.

New Orleans have two of their own starters to worry about. PG Elfrid Payton and PF Nikola Mirotic are day-to-day with ankle injuries; Payton has been out since late October, but is likely to return this week, while Mirotic has missed one game and may be available on Wednesday after being seen at practice wearing an ankle brace. The Pelicans started the year at 4-0 SU and 3-1 ATS with their full lineup.

Provided the trade goes through, the Minnesota Timberwolves (4-9 SU, 5-8 ATS) won’t have Jimmy Butler to worry about this Wednesday when they host the New Orleans Pelicans (6-6 SU, 5-7 ATS), tipping off at 8 PM ET on ESPN. Butler is being dealt to Philadelphia; Dario Saric and Robert Covington are heading to Minnesota.

NFL Odds: Cowboys-Eagles on Sunday Night Football

The defending Super Bowl champions are having an epic Super Bowl hangover. But the Philadelphia Eagles (4-4 SU, 3-5 ATS) can get back above .500 with a win this Sunday over the struggling Dallas Cowboys (3-5 SU and ATS), kicking off at 8:20 PM ET on NBC. The Eagles are 7-point home favorites at press time after opening at –6.5; the total is holding steady at 43.

Philadelphia started their Super Bowl defense with Nick Foles continuing to fill in at quarterback for Carson Wentz. The Eagles are 3-3 SU and 2-4 ATS since Wentz made his debut in Week 3, but they’re 2-1 SU and ATS in their past three games, with Wentz looking more and more comfortable each day.

Dallas have lost back-to-back games SU and ATS, leaving head coach Jason Garrett clinging to his job by a thread. The success Garrett and the Cowboys enjoyed during their first two years with Dak Prescott at quarterback appears to have dried up. Injuries to the offensive line play a large role here, particularly with Pro Bowl center Travis Frederick, who has yet to play a game this year after being diagnosed with Guillain-Barre Syndrome in late August.

NHL Odds: Coyotes and Flyers Play Second in Back-to-Back

After dropping Monday’s game 5-2 to Philadelphia, the Arizona Coyotes will have a second chance at the Flyers on Thursday when the clubs finish off a home-and-home. Prior to Monday’s loss, Arizona was on a tear, winning six of seven games. But after being beat handily in front of their home fans, Arizona will be eager to return the favour in Philadelphia.

Bet on hockey at Bodog and get a free 100% bonus.

The Flyers enter Thursday’s game at an even .500 with a 7-7-1 record. While securing just half of the available points isn’t an ideal way to open a season, Philadelphia’s stars have shown up in a big way. Yet again, Claude Giroux (6 goals, 11 assists) and Jakub Voracek (4 goals, 11 assists) lead the team offensively in the early going, with both players producing at a point-per-game pace or better. But team defense has been the Flyers’ shortcoming so far in 2018-19; they’ve surrendered 3.73 goals per game and none of their starters has a save percentage above .900.

Arizona will be keen to capitalize on Philadelphia’s porous defense and get their own offense going. Led by Clayton Keller (5 goals, 5 assists), the Coyotes haven’t been an offensive superpower so far this season, but the return of Alex Galchenyuk, who has registered five points in six games, should help bolster the offense.

NHL Odds: ‘Yotes and Flyers Meet in Philly

The Philadelphia Flyers will host the Arizona Coyotes this Thursday at the Wells Fargo Center. The Flyers are coming off of a 5-2 victory over the Coyotes and will try to register back-to-back victories for just the second time this season. With starter Brian Elliott sidelined, expect backup Calvin Pickard to once again be in net for Philadelphia.

Bet on hockey at Bodog and get a free 100% bonus.

The Arizona Coyotes have gotten off to a decent start, going 7-6-0. Clearly in rebuilding mode, the Coyotes have focused on team defense in the early part of the season and they now sit third in the league, having surrendered just 2.23 goals per game. If they can get their young offensive stars going, we could see a competitive club in Arizona for the first time in years.

NBA Odds: Rockets, Thunder Open TNT Double-Header

Injuries, suspensions and offseason changes have kept both the Houston Rockets (4-5 SU, 3-6 ATS) and the Oklahoma City Thunder (5-4 SU and ATS) from getting out of the gate quickly this year. But only one of these teams is expected to have their top players available for Thursday’s matchup at Chesapeake Energy Arena. TNT will provide the television coverage at 8 PM ET.

Bet on basketball at Bovada and get a free 50% bonus.

Russell Westbrook missed the first two games of the season for Oklahoma City recovering from knee surgery, and it looks like he’ll be on the shelf again after spraining his left ankle during Monday’s win over New Orleans. Westbrook appeared to be in considerable pain after landing awkwardly on Anthony Davis’s foot. His status going forward remains unknown at press time.

As for the Rockets, they got off to a very slow start, and it didn’t help when James Harden (hamstring injury, three games) and Chris Paul (suspension, two games) were taken out of the lineup. However, both All-Stars are back in the fold, and Houston won the first three games of this five-game road trip at 2-1 ATS. Eric Gordon could join them on Thursday after missing the past two games with a strained right adductor.

NBA Odds: Short-Handed Thunder Host Rockets on TNT

It looks like the Oklahoma City Thunder (5-4 SU and ATS) might be missing Russell Westbrook when they host the Houston Rockets (4-5 SU, 3-6 ATS) this Thursday at 8 PM ET on TNT. Westbrook suffered a sprained left ankle during Monday’s win over New Orleans and was unable to return.

Bet on basketball at Bovada and get a free 50% bonus.

The Rockets, meanwhile, have won three straight games at 2-1 ATS after a slow start. James Harden is back in the lineup after sitting out a week with a hamstring injury; Eric Gordon remains day-to-day for Houston with a strained right adductor that has cost him the past two games.

NFL Odds: Carolina in Pittsburgh this Thursday

The Carolina Panthers and Pittsburgh Steelers will clash this Thursday night at Heinz Field in what will feel like a playoff game in Steel City. Both teams enter Thursday’s matchup with active winning streaks on the line and first place in their divisions in mind. It’ll be the first and only time Carolina and Pittsburgh meet this regular season, and just the second time Ben Roethlisberger and Cam Newton have faced each other. Newton will look to even up the all-time series this week.

Bet on football at Bovada and get a free 50% bonus.

Since starting the 2018 season 1-2-1 in a sea of controversy due to the hold-out of their Pro Bowl running back, the Pittsburgh Steelers have run the table, winning four straight games. While it has been a team effort, the Steelers’ new starting RB, James Conner, has proven that the Steelers can win without Le’Veon Bell. Conner ranks third in the NFL in rushing yards (599) and has eclipsed the 100-yard plateau in each of his last four games.

The Panthers have surrendered the eighth-fewest rushing yards in the league this season and will be called upon often to stop Conner. Pro Bowler Luke Kuechly and the Carolina defense may be the difference maker on Thursday Night Football. Kickoff is scheduled for 8:20 PM ET.

NFL Odds: Steelers Host Panthers on Thursday Night Football

The Carolina Panthers are coming off of a 42-28 drubbing of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and will attempt to extend their team winning streak to four games with a defeat of the AFC North-leading Pittsburgh Steelers. Carolina lives and breathes with the running game, capitalizing on a steady mix of Christian McCaffrey and Cam Newton. Will Pittsburgh’s sixth-ranked rush defense be able to slow them down?

Bet on football at Bovada and get a free 50% bonus.

Pittsburgh can threaten with a dangerous rushing game in their own right, as James Conner has taken over as the No. 1 in Steel City. Conner ranks third in the NFL with 599 rushing yards and offers a balanced attack to the Steelers’ pass-happy offense. Game time is 8:20 PM ET.

NFL Odds: Panthers, Steelers Light up Thursday Night

Will Thursday’s game between the Carolina Panthers and the Pittsburgh Steelers turn out to be a preview of Super Bowl LIII? The Panthers (6-2 SU, 5-3 ATS) are one of the best teams in the NFC, while the Steelers (5-2-1 SU, 5-3 ATS) are first in the AFC North heading into the second half of their regular season. Kick-off from Heinz Field is at 8:20 PM ET on FOX.

Bet on football at Bodog and get a free 100% bonus.

The Panthers ride a three-game SU and ATS winning streak into Thursday’s matchup. Not to be outdone, the Steelers are 4-0 SU and ATS in their last four games, and there’s a chance that RB Le’Veon Bell will end his contract hold-out in time to join his teammates for Week 10. Pittsburgh have gotten mixed results from RB James Conner in the meantime.

Most of the damage the Steelers have done this year is through the air, where QB Ben Roethlisberger is having another Pro Bowl-quality campaign. Carolina, on the other hand, possess arguably the best rushing attack in the league, featuring the three-headed monster of QB Cam Newton and tailbacks Christian McCaffrey and CJ Anderson. That will come in handy on what should be a cold November night in Pittsburgh.

)

NFL Odds: Panthers-Steelers on Thursday Night Football

A potential Super Bowl LIII preview is on tap this Thursday when the Pittsburgh Steelers (5-2-1 SU, 5-3 ATS) welcome the Carolina Panthers (6-2 SU, 5-3 ATS) to Heinz Field, beginning at 8:20 PM ET on FOX. Both teams would make the playoffs if they started today.

Bet on football at Bodog and get a free 100% bonus.

The Panthers have played at a higher level than Pittsburgh thus far, especially in the running game – but that could start changing this week if RB Le’Veon Bell ends his holdout and rejoins his Steelers teammates. Bell’s contributions would be extra-welcome during what promises to be a cold night on the North Shore.

NHL Odds: Panthers and Jets Head to Finland

This Thursday, the Winnipeg Jets and the Florida Panthers will face each other in a game on Finnish soil. Touting two of the biggest Finnish stars in the NHL in Patrik Laine and Aleksander Barkov, the NHL is showcasing its stars and the league on the other side of the Atlantic.

Bet on hockey at Bodog and get a free 100% bonus.

For Florida, the change of scenery will be welcomed. They’ve struggled out of the gate to a 2-4-3 record and rank in the bottom half of the league in both goals for and goals against. That slow start can be partially attributed to an injury to their starting goaltender, Roberto Luongo, who has been out with a knee injury since the first game of the season. James Reimer and Michael Hutchinson haven’t been adequate fill-ins between the pipes, and Florida has struggled to keep the puck out of their net.

Winnipeg has benefitted from much more success, going 7-4-1 through the early part of the season. Strong play from Mark Scheifele (6 goals, 6 assists) and Blake Wheeler (2 goals, 9 assists) has led the Jets to the 3rd best powerplay in the NHL. Now with back-to-back games in Helsinki on Thursday and Friday (2 PM ET), both teams will have a chance to register four points in the standings.

NHL Odds: Finland Hosts the Panthers and Jets

As the NHL looks to reach greater audiences across the globe, the Florida Panthers and Winnipeg Jets will drop the puck in Helsinki, Finland for the first of a two-game miniseries this Thursday. Winnipeg has stormed out of the gate and has 15 points through 12 games.

Bet on hockey at Bodog and get a free 100% bonus.

Florida, on the other hand, has been plagued by injuries early in the season and has registered just 7 points in 9 games. While it is still early, the Panthers will be eager to take advantage of new surroundings and try to get their game back on track. That’ll be difficult against the heavy-hitting Jets, however. With stars Patrik Laine and Aleksander Barkov on display, Finish fans will be cheering for their countrymen.

NFL Odds: Raiders-Niners on Thursday Night Football

Oakland and San Francisco are about as different as night and day, but they have something very much in common this year. Heading into Thursday’s matchup at Levi’s Stadium, the Raiders (1-6 SU, 2-5 ATS) are last in the AFC West, while the 49ers (1-7 SU, 2-6 ATS) find themselves at the bottom of the NFC West. FOX will provide the coverage at 8:20 PM ET; the Niners opened at –3 and remain there at press time; the total is 46.5.

Bet on football at Bovada and get a free 50% bonus.

At least San Francisco’s malaise doesn’t seem premeditated. Their season went off the rails in Week 3 when starting quarterback and franchise savior Jimmy Garoppolo tore his ACL and had to go on injured reserve. With CJ Beathard at the controls, San Fran have one of the worst offenses in the league – and their defense isn’t very good, either.

The Raiders, meanwhile, are a lame-duck franchise until they make their eventual move to Las Vegas. They started clearing out talent well before sending Pro Bowl LB Khalil Mack to the Chicago Bears in September; the exodus continued last week when Oakland traded top wideout Amari Cooper to the Dallas Cowboys for a first-round pick in 2019.

NFL Odds: Stripped-Down Raiders Visit Wounded Niners

This week’s episode of Thursday Night Football (8:20 PM ET, FOX) features two teams who had much higher hopes for 2018: the San Francisco 49ers, and the visiting Oakland Raiders. San Francisco is a 3-point favorite at press time with a total of 46.5.

Bet on football at Bovada and get a free 50% bonus.

The Niners (1-7 SU, 2-6 ATS) had their hopes dashed in Week 3 when QB Jimmy Garoppolo suffered a torn ACL and was replaced by CJ Beathard. The Raiders (1-6 SU, 2-5 ATS), meanwhile, are selling off players – WR Amari Cooper is their most recent departure – as they prepare for their move to Las Vegas.

NHL Odds: Canucks Host Blackhawks in Battle of Rising Teams

After finishing 2017-18 well outside the playoff hunt, both the Chicago Blackhawks (6-3-3) and the Vancouver Canucks (6-6) find themselves just one win out of first place in their respective divisions. They’ll meet this Wednesday at Rogers Arena; the puck drops at 10 PM ET on the NHL Network.

While both teams have enjoyed early success, they’ve been somewhat fortunate – Chicago have a goal differential of minus-2, while the Canucks are near the bottom of the West at minus-9. Vancouver also have defenseman Alex Edler (knee), LW Sven Baertschi (upper body) and back-up netminder Anders Nilsson (finger) on injured reserve.

After losing the first two games of the 2018 World Series, the Los Angeles Dodgers return to Chavez Ravine with their backs against the wall – and with the Boston Red Sox firmly in command. Saturday’s Game 4 could be the last game of the season if the Dodgers don’t shape up; FOX has the coverage at 8:09 PM ET.

Both teams will sort out their starting rotations after Wednesday’s Game 2, which the Red Sox won 4-2 as –150 favorites. They used Nathan Eovaldi for an inning of relief; he threw just 13 pitches, so he should be ready to start Game 4 if required. Boston plans to use Rick Porcello for Game 3 on Friday, while Los Angeles will go with Walker Buehler in a virtual must-win situation.

Being down 2-0 in the World Series is obviously a major disadvantage for the Dodgers, but they’ve been here before. In 1955, 1965 and 1981, they came all the way back to win the championship. However, the team up 2-0 has won the World Series a little over 80% of the time. The Red Sox did just that in 2004 and 2007, sweeping St. Louis and Colorado respectively.

MLB Odds: Red Sox-Dodgers in Possible World Series Finale

The Los Angeles Dodgers have some work to do if they want to win the World Series. They return home down 2-0 to the Boston Red Sox; Game 4 on Saturday could be the last game of the season, and it begins at 8:09 PM ET on FOX.

While the starting pitchers for Saturday remain undecided at press time, Nathan Eovaldi (3.33 ERA) might get the nod for Boston, after he pitched relief in the first two games at Fenway. That leaves Rick Porcello to start Game 3 on Friday. Los Angeles will go with Walker Buehler.

MLB Odds: Game 2 of World Series at Fenway Park

After an exciting Game 1 that saw the Boston Red Sox jump to a 1-0 series lead over the Los Angeles Dodgers, both teams will be back at it on Wednesday for a critical Game 2 matchup. As the first seed, Boston holds homefield advantage throughout the series, so it’ll be important for them to maintain that edge and come out on top in Game 2.

Early reports have the Boston Red Sox sending veteran lefty David Price to the mound in Game 2. Price is coming off of his first postseason victory in six games since joining the Red Sox in 2016, as he led Boston to a series-clinching win over the Houston Astros in the ALCS. He’ll be called upon again for what may be the biggest game of his professional career.

Price will be up against another veteran lefty in Huyn-Jin Ryu. Ryu was the Dodgers’ most reliable starter down the stretch of the regular season and has carried that over to the playoffs. Though he’s coming off of a tough outing against the Milwaukee Brewers, Ryu still gives the Dodgers an excellent chance against the Red Sox. Game time is scheduled for 8:09 PM ET, so don’t miss the action.

MLB Odds: David Price Set to Go Against the Dodgers

After breaking out of a personal postseason slump with a series-clinching victory over the Houston Astros, David Price is geared up to lead the Red Sox once again this Wednesday. The veteran pitched an impressive six innings of three-hit ball in his last outing and is keen to reverse recent history of being a playoff bust.

The Los Angeles Dodgers, on the other hand, will look to exploit Price and the short left outfield at Fenway Park. The Dodgers have a plethora of power-hitting right-handed batters, and will be primed to even up the series at Price’s expense.
