E-Sports : South Korea Dominates LoL Championship Final Four

The 2016 League of Legends World Championship belongs to South Korea. Three of this year's four semifinalists are based in Seoul, and they're dominating the E-Sports futures market heading into this weekend's matches; SK Telecom T1 are the +120 favorites followed by at ROX Tigers +130. Samsung Galaxy comes in at +400 and London's H2k-Gaming are distant +2500 outsiders.

At least H2K don't have to face the top two contenders in the semifinals. ROX and SKT will meet Friday (6 PM ET) at Madison Square Garden, with SKT a slight favorite at –140 on the moneyline. Then H2K will battle with Samsung on Saturday, also at the Garden at 6 PM ET. It'll be an uphill climb for Europe's lone survivor at +275.

Each of these semifinal matches has a series of prop bets attached, including alternate spreads and totals, Correct Score, First Kill, and who will win Map 1. Again, SKT are slim –130 favorites over ROX to win their Map 1, while Samsung are clear –250 favorites in their semifinal. The winners will collide October 29 in the Final at Staples Center in Los Angeles. SKT won the Championship in 2013 and 2015, with Samsung Galaxy White prevailing in 2014.

E-Sports Odds: SK Telecom T1 Favored at LoL Championship
It's down to the final four at the 2016 League of Legends World Championship, and South Korean rivals SK Telecom T1 (+120) and ROX Tigers (+130) are the favorites to win the title. Samsung Galaxy, also from South Korea, are a close third at +400, followed by London's H2k-Gaming at +2500.

Samsung Galaxy have the easier path to next week's Final at Staples Center; they'll play H2K this Saturday at Madison Square Garden to see who advances, while the top two contenders will meet in Friday's semifinal. Both matches start at 6 PM ET.

NHL : Canadiens Look to Capitalize on Short-Handed Coyotes

After a dominating 4-0 victory over the Pittsburgh Penguins on Tuesday, the Montreal Canadiens (2-0-1) will look to build on their strong start when they host the Arizona Coyotes (1-1-0) Thursday in Montreal (7:30 PM ET). The Coyotes will likely be forced to turn to their backup goalie Louis Domingue after starter Mike Smith was injured in a 7-4 loss against the Ottawa Senators Tuesday night.

The Canadiens have also been forced to rely on their backup goaltender Al Montoya through the first three games of the season, and he has been reliable thus far. After giving up only four goals over three games to the tune of a .962 save percentage, the Habs might give starting goaltender Carey Price another couple of days to recover from the flu, meaning Montoya would make his fourth consecutive start on Thursday.

Another highlight for the Canadiens is the re-emergence of defenseman Jeff Petry. After missing the first game due to injury, the seventh-year veteran has registered two goals and two assists in two games. Although the Habs have a number of new faces on their squad to start the season, most notably Shea Weber, Andrew Shaw and Alexander Radulov, the Canadiens appear to be rounding into form in short order.

NHL Odds: Coyotes Look to Bounce Back in Montreal
The Arizona Coyotes (1-1-0) were outdueled by the surging Ottawa Senators on Tuesday night after the ‘Yotes starting goaltender, Mike Smith, was forced to leave with a “lower body injury”. They’ll come into Montreal looking to get back on track against a Habs team that’s gaining confidence with each game.

The Canadiens (2-0-1) shut out the defending Stanley Cup Champion, Pittsburgh Penguins, 4-0 on Tuesday, and Montreal hopes to continue to ride backup goalie Al Montoya in the absence of starter Carey Price. Thursday will likely feature a battle of the backups (7:30 PM ET), with both teams looking to prove that they don’t need to rely on goaltending to win.

NCAAF : No. 6 Texas A&M vs. No. 1 Alabama

The biggest game on the Week 8 college football schedule is Saturday's SEC matchup (3:30 PM  ET, CBS) between the No. 6 Texas A&M Aggies and the No. 1 Alabama Crimson Tide. At press time, Alabama are 18-point home favorites, up from –17 at the open; the Tide (7-0 SU, 5-2 ATS) were as high as –18.5 Tuesday afternoon before settling back down.

There's little doubt that 'Bama is the best team in the nation right now, but the Aggies (6-0 SU, 4-2 ATS) have yet to lose a game themselves. They're also coming off a bye week, while the Tide were busy last Saturday beating Tennessee 49-10 as 14-point road favorites. Texas A&M is the most balanced team Alabama has faced thus far, and covering that big spread will be difficult as long as Aggies RB Trayveon Williams (8.6 yards per carry) is chewing up the clock.

The Tide don't seem too troubled by these giant spreads. They've been double-digit favorites in every game this season. Plus, the last time a Top-10 FBS team was getting 18 points or more was three years ago, when No. 3 Florida State beat No. 7 Miami 41-14 as a 21-point home chalk.

NCAAF Odds: Alabama Laying 18 Against Texas A&M
The Texas A&M Aggies may be the No. 6 team in the college football rankings and they may be fresh after taking the bye last week, but the Aggies are 18-point road dogs at press time for Saturday's game (3:30 PM ET, CBS) against the No. 1 Alabama Crimson Tide.

While both the Aggies (6-0 SU, 4-2 ATS) and the Tide (7-0 SU, 5-2 ATS) are undefeated this year, the defending national champions have been double-digit favorites in every single game thus far, and they hold back-to-back blowout SU and ATS victories over Texas A&M.

MLB : Dodgers Host Cubs for Game 4

With the ALCS slanting to one side, fans have been turning to the NLCS to watch a more competitive series. Game 4 of the NLCS will take place on Wednesday at 8:08 PM ET, with the Los Angeles Dodgers hosting the Chicago Cubs.

The Dodgers will send Julio Urias to the mound on Wednesday. The 20-year-old has never started a playoff game before, but pitched a couple of scoreless innings against the Washington Nationals in the NLDS, earning the win for his team. In doing so, he became the youngest pitcher in Major League history to earn a postseason victory. He’s faced the Cubs a couple of times this season, but gave up 14 hits and seven runs in 11 innings of work.

The Cubs will counter with John Lackey, who has far more playoff experience than Urias. Lackey has pitched in 24 playoff games, posting a respectable 3.22 ERA and 1.25 WHIP. That being said, he got roughed up in his first postseason start this year, giving up seven hits and three earned runs in just four innings of work against the San Francisco Giants. The 37-year-old hasn’t faced the Dodgers yet this season.

MLB Odds: Dodgers Send Youngster Urias to the Mound in Game 4
Earlier this postseason, 20-year-old Julio Urias became the youngest pitcher in MLB history to earn a playoff win. Now the Dodgers will send him to the mound to start Game 4 of the NLCS against the Chicago Cubs.

The young lefty has faced the Chicago Cubs twice this season with mixed results. He’s 1-1, but posted a 4.91 ERA against the Cubs while giving up 14 hits, including three homeruns, in 11 innings of work. The Cubs will counter with John Lackey, whose playoff experience includes a hefty 24 games. Game time is at 8:08 PM ET.

Politics : Trump Tape Puts GOP in Doghouse

The window of opportunity is closing for Donald Trump. After narrowing the gap between himself and Hillary Clinton in the US presidential polls, Trump's chances of winning the November 8 election have cratered. He's a +400 underdog at press time, down from +200 in the days after the first debate. Clinton has improved from –275 to –650, while “Other” is still available at +2500.

Trump began losing support after the debate, but things really went south when the “Trump Tape” was released by The Washington Post. Trump was recorded in 2005 during an Access Hollywood taping on the set of Days of Our Lives; he made several vulgar comments about women that have Republican leaders scrambling to distance themselves from their presidential nominee – although many are still endorsing him despite their disapproval.

Trump's performance in the second debate didn't help matters. In the past two weeks, Florida, North Carolina, Ohio, Nevada, Iowa, and possibly Arizona have all swung toward Clinton and the Democrats. Georgia, Missouri and Alaska could follow suit. Trump has one more debate on Wednesday, October 19, to get his message across, but it might be too late – advance voting is already underway.

Politics Odds: Trump in Hot Water Over Latest Scandal

In theory, Donald Trump is a bargain at +400 to win the US presidential election on November 8. His chances can't get much worse after The Washington Post released a 2005 tape where Trump made several lewd comments about women. Hillary Clinton is now a –650 favorite to win the election, up from –275 three weeks ago.

Coupled with his poor performance in the first two presidential debates, the “Trump Tape” has seen the Republican Party lose support in key swing states like Florida, Ohio, Iowa, Nevada and North Carolina. The third and last debate is Wednesday, October 19.

NFL : Cowboys Ride Hot Quarterback into Lambeau

The Dallas Cowboys were staring at another lost season without QB Tony Romo, but with rookie Dak Prescott at the helm, they carry a 4-1 SU and ATS record into Sunday's matchup (4:25 PM ET, FOX) with the Green Bay Packers. Despite the strong start, Dallas is a 4-point road dog at press time, with a total of 47 points on the NFL odds board.

Prescott (seven combined TDs, zero INTs) is second in the league with an 83.9 QBR through Week 5, two spots ahead of his Green Bay counterpart, two-time MVP Aaron Rodgers (79.4 QBR). The Cowboys have also gotten quality play from rookie RB Ezekiel Elliott, who has scampered for five touchdowns on 5.0 yards per carry and leads the NFL with 546 yards rushing.

The Packers (3-1 SU, 2-1-1 ATS) had the early bye in Week 4, so they'll be the fresher team at Lambeau Field. However, Green Bay's pass defense hasn't been very good this year, and CB Sam Shields has yet to practice since suffering a concussion in the season opener. Sunday's weather forecast calls for clear skies over Lambeau with temperatures in the low 60s at kick-off.

NFL Odds: Prescott, Elliott Lead Cowboys into Green Bay
Two of the NFL's top rookies will be showcased Sunday afternoon (4:25 PM ET, FOX) when the Dallas Cowboys visit the Green Bay Packers. QB Dak Prescott and RB Ezekiel Elliott have been outstanding through five games, leading Dallas to a 4-1 SU and ATS record.

Despite their success, the Cowboys are 4-point puppies versus the Packers (3-1 SU, 2-1-1 ATS) at press time with a total of 47. Green Bay's defense has excelled against the run, but not so much against the pass; CB Sam Shields hasn't practiced since Week 1 because of a concussion.

NFL : Red-Hot Cowboys Head to Green Bay on Sunday

The Dallas Cowboys and the Green Bay Packers will face off at Lambeau Field on Sunday at 4:25 PM ET. Both teams have played well up to this point, with just one loss each so far this season.

The Cowboys are 4-1 after a 28-14 win over the Cincinnati Bengals last week. Once again, they were led by rookies; quarterback Dak Prescott was 18-of-24 for 227 yards. He also scored a passing and rushing touchdown. Fellow rookie, Ezekiel Elliott, ran 15 times for 134 yards and scored two touchdowns.

The Packers are 3-1 after a 23-16 win over the New York Giants at home, but Aaron Rodgers was up and down. He was 23-of-45 for 259 yards and two touchdowns, but he also threw two picks. He hasn’t finished a season with a completion percentage below 60.7 in any of the last nine years, but he’s currently at just 56.1 so far this season.

The Packers are laying four points for Sunday’s game and are 7-3 SU (five wins in a row) and 6-4 ATS in their last 10 meetings with the Cowboys, who are 3-7 SU (four straight losses) and 3-6 ATS in their last 10 in Green Bay.

NFL Odds: Packers Host Cowboys in Week 6 Showdown
After losing to the New York Giants in Week 1, the Dallas Cowboys have turned things around and are riding a four-game winning streak. This weekend, they’ll face Green Bay, who’ve only lost to the Minnesota Vikings.

The Cowboys (4-point favourites for Sunday’s game) are 4-1 after beating the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 5. The rookie duo of quarterback Dak Prescott and running back Ezekiel Elliott continue to lead the way. The Packers are 3-1 after beating the New York Giants and while Aaron Rodgers wasn't great, he was good enough to get the job done. The Packers have beaten the Cowboys in five straight meetings and seven of 10 overall, while the Cowboys have lost four in a row in Green Bay.

MLB : Blue Jays Visit Cleveland in ALCS Opener

The Toronto Blue Jays are back in the ALCS. After sweeping the Texas Rangers in the Division Series, the Jays travel to Cleveland for Friday's series opener at The Jake, starting at 8 PM ET on Sportsnet. Cleveland bounced the Boston Red Sox in three straight games to advance to the Championship Series.

Friday's projected starters have yet to be named, but Marcus Stroman (3.71 FIP) was ready to take the mound in Game 4 of the ALDS if necessary. Stroman was the starting pitcher in Toronto's 5-2 Wild Card win over the Baltimore Orioles (+142 away) on October 4, allowing both Baltimore runs in six strong innings of four-hit ball.

On the surface, the Tribe have even more pitching options than Toronto. They avoided the Wild Card, taking the AL Central crown by eight games at 94-67 (+8.92 betting units), and their Division Series with Boston featured an extra day of rest, thanks to Sunday's rain-out. However, Cleveland was prepared to stick with a three-man rotation against the Red Sox, while Toronto (89-73, –9.19 units during the regular season) is rolling with four pitchers. If the rotation stays consistent, Trevor Bauer (3.99 FIP) will get the start for Cleveland.

MLB Odds: Blue Jays Resting Well for Game 1 in Cleveland
After knocking the Texas Rangers out of the playoffs Sunday night, the Toronto Blue Jays have plenty of time to prepare for the AL Championship Series. Game 1 in Cleveland is Friday at 8 PM ET on Sportsnet.

The Jays have two key players who could heal up in time for the opener. Pitcher Francisco Liriano (concussion) and second baseman Devon Travis (knee) are both listed as day-to-day; Travis appears ready after being activated for Game 3 of the ALDS, while Liriano was declared symptom-free Monday after taking a line drive off the back of the neck in Game 2.

MLB : Jays, Indians an Unexpected Matchup in ALCS

Few people expected to see the Toronto Blue Jays and the Cleveland Indians face off in the American League Championship Series, which begins on Friday in Cleveland at 8:08 PM ET.

The Blue Jays have won all four of their playoff games so far, defeating the Baltimore Orioles in the wild card game and then sweeping the Texas Rangers in the Division Series. After averaging just 3.7 runs per game from September to the end of the regular season, their offense has come to life in the playoffs. Their 22 runs scored versus Texas were the fourth-most by a team in a sweep. They produced eight home runs from seven different players, which tied a divisional series record.

As for the Indians, they were equally impressive in their sweep of the Boston Red Sox, but for different reasons. Their pitching stood out despite the absence of injured starters Carlos Carrasco and Danny Salazar. They also held the most productive offense in the American League to just seven runs in three games.

The Jays and Indians teams met seven times in the regular season, and the Indians won four of the seven games.

MLB Odds: Can Indians’ Pitching Slow Jays’ Offense?
The Cleveland Indians held the Boston Red Sox to just seven runs in three games in the ALDS. Can their staff slow down the Toronto Blue Jays’ offense, which has come to life in the playoffs?

The Red Sox scored 101 more runs than any other team in the AL, but the Indians stymied them in the ALDS. The Jays’ offense struggled down the stretch of the season but has been invigorated in the playoffs, scoring at least five runs in every game while averaging 6.8 per contest. The Indians won four of the seven meetings with the Blue Jays in the regular season.

E-Sports : ROX Tigers, SK Telecom T1 at LoL Championship

The Group State has reached the halfway point at the 2016 League of Legends World Championship, and the top favorites heading into the tournament are still the top favorites on the E-Sports futures market. ROX Tigers and SK Telecom T1 are tied at +175, followed by EDward Gaming at +350.

Nothing's guaranteed for any of these three teams going into the final Group Stage matches. All three have records of 2-1 in their respective groups; ROX Tigers dropped a match to Counter Logic Gaming in Group A, SK Telecom T1 coughed one up against Flash Wolves in Group B, and EDward Gaming lost their opening Group C contest to INTZ e-Sports, one of the two International Wildcards in this 16-team tournament.

None of the four teams in Group D have made it this far unscathed, either. It's a three-way logjam at 2-1 among Team SoloMid (+1000), Samsung Galaxy (+1200) and Royal Never Give Up (+1400).

Only two of these teams will advance to the quarter-finals in Chicago; Samsung Galaxy is generally considered the worst of the three, but that clutch win over Royal Never Give Up on October 1 has captured everyone's attention.

All three teams have records of 2-1 in their respective groups, so they still have some work to do if they want to reach the quarter-finals in Chicago. There's also a three-way logjam at 2-1 in Group D, featuring Team SoloMid (+1000), Samsung Galaxy (+1200) and Royal Never Give Up (+1400).

If you’re betting five coins per line (the max), the 1000-coin payout for five diamonds will be multiplied by five, giving you 5,000 coins. The monetary value depends on the coin denomination you picked: 5,000 $0.01-coins give you $50, whereas 5,000 $1-coins give you $5,000.

A wild is available to help you land these payouts, and it’s not your ordinary wild. Equipped with the ability to expand and stick, the wilds in Star Jewels slot game have extraordinary powers.

You’ll immediately recognize them as they spin on the first and third reels; the icon is the word “wild” in gold letters repeated three times vertically. When the wild expands to create a winning line, it will also trigger a free spin, during which the wild reel stays put and boosts your chances of winning another payout. If another wild expands during the free spin, it will trigger an additional free spin, while remaining fastened. This can quickly snowball into a massive win.

With such a powerful wild available, Star Jewels doesn’t need to offer bonus rounds or free spins (other than the free spins offered through the sticky wild). NFL : Broncos Host Falcons in Offense Versus Defense Battle

The Denver Broncos’ defense has picked up where it left off after last season's run to the Super Bowl. They'll face a tough test on Sunday when they host the high-flying Atlanta Falcons, who lead the NFL in points per game (38).

The Falcons are now 3-1 after a 48-33 win over Carolina at home in which Falcons QB Matt Ryan threw for 503 yards and four touchdowns. WR Julio Jones caught 12 of those passes, including one for a touchdown; he racked up 300 yards on the day. The Falcons have now scored 93 points in their last two games.

After earning a 27-7 win in Tampa Bay, the Broncos are one of three undefeated teams left in the NFL (along with Philadelphia and Minnesota). Rookie Paxton Lynch filled in admirably for the injured starter Trevor Siemian, passing for 170 yards and a touchdown. The defense held the Buccaneers to 215 yards while forcing three turnovers.

Denver is a 6-point favourite for this contest, as we go to press. They’re 3-2 SU and ATS in their last five meetings with Atlanta, and the Falcons are 2-3 SU and 2-2 ATS in four trips to Denver since 1982.

NFL Odds: Undefeated Broncos Welcome Falcons to Denver
The Denver Broncos are one of three undefeated teams left in the NFL, and the Atlanta Falcons will do their best to end that win streak when they head to Denver on Sunday. Game time is 4:05 PM ET.

This is your typical offense versus defense battle. The 3-1 Falcons are ranked first in offense, and the 4-0 Broncos are fourth in defense. The Falcons routed Carolina 48-33 last week at home, while the Broncos went to Tampa Bay to stifle the Buccaneers 27-7. The Broncos have won and covered three of their last five meetings with the Falcons and are favoured by six points for Sunday’s contest.

NCAAF : LSU at No. 18 Florida

The Ed Orgeron Era is off to a flying start in Baton Rouge. After firing head coach Les Miles, the LSU Tigers (3-2 SU, 1-4 ATS) earned their first cover of the 2016 campaign last week, crushing the Missouri Tigers 42-7 as 12-point home favorites. Orgeron's second game at the helm is this Saturday in Gainesville, where they'll meet the Florida Gators at noon ET on ESPN. Odds are pending at press time.

Orgeron and new offensive co-ordinator Steve Ensminger have injected new life into the Tigers attack, but they're still focused on the running game. Derrius Guice and Darrel Williams combined for 293 yards rushing and all six touchdowns in the win over Mizzou while Leonard Fournette sat out with an ankle injury. Fournette is listed as questionable to return this week.

The Gators (4-1 SU, 1-4 ATS) are looking for some help on offense, too, and they might get some if QB Luke Del Rio is able to play Saturday. Del Rio missed the last two games with a knee injury, but returned to practice this week and might suit up against LSU. Austin Appleby made the last two starts for Florida, losing both against the spread.

The No. 18 Florida Gators (4-1 SU, 1-4 ATS) hope to have QB Luke Del Rio back in the lineup this Saturday when they host the new-look LSU Tigers (3-2 SU, 1-4 ATS). Kick-off is at noon ET on ESPN.

Odds are pending until Del Rio's status is resolved. He returned to practice this week after missing two games with a knee injury. Florida will need him against the dominant LSU defense, but the Tigers also rushed for six touchdowns last week against Missouri to win their first game under interim head coach Ed Orgeron.

MLB : Bumgarner, Syndergaard Square Off for Giants-Mets Game 1

The National League wild-card game is set for Wednesday, and the New York Mets will host the San Francisco Giants. A spot in the NLDS will be on the line. The Mets won four of seven meetings with the Giants during the regular season.

The Giants go with Madison Bumgarner (15-9, 2.74 ERA), who went 7.1 innings in a 9-3 home win over the Los Angeles Dodgers in his last start. Bumgarner scattered three runs with eight hits, striking out five with a walk. Bumgarner, a former NLCS and World Series MVP as well as a three-time World Series champion, won both starts against the Mets this season, posting an ERA of 3.27. He’s tough to beat in the postseason, with a 0.60 ERA in road playoff games.

The Mets counter with Noah Syndergaard (14-9, 2.60 ERA ERA), who tossed six innings of five-hit ball in a 12-1 rout of Miami on the road in his last start. Syndergaard gave up a run and struck out eight with no walks. He split a pair of starts against the Giants with an ERA of 2.63. However, that 1-6 loss came against Bumgarner in May. The 24-year-old is 6-6 in 17 home starts with a 2.87 ERA.

He also beat the Mets and Noah Syndergaard back in May on the road. Syndergaard will try to get some revenge; his Mets had the upper hand in the regular season, winning four of seven matchups.
