NHL Odds: Canucks Host Blackhawks in Battle of Rising Teams

After finishing 2017-18 well outside the playoff hunt, both the Chicago Blackhawks (6-3-3) and the Vancouver Canucks (6-6) find themselves just one win out of first place in their respective divisions. They’ll meet this Wednesday at Rogers Arena; the puck drops at 10 PM ET on the NHL Network.

While both teams have enjoyed early success, they’ve been somewhat fortunate – Chicago have a goal differential of minus-2, while the Canucks are near the bottom of the West at minus-9. Vancouver also have defenseman Alex Edler (knee), LW Sven Baertschi (upper body) and back-up netminder Anders Nilsson (finger) on injured reserve.
