UFC Odds: Lyoto Machida’s Last Stand?

Lyoto “The Dragon” Machida is one of the greatest fighters ever to step foot inside the Octagon. But the last time he fought in the UFC, Machida was knocked cold by Derek Brunson. Saturday’s main event at Fight Night 125 in Brazil could be the last time we see Machida in action; at press time, he’s a +220 underdog against Eryk Andrews (–280), who comes into this bout with a perfect 10-0 record.


Machida (22-8 lifetime, 14-8 UFC), the former Light Heavyweight champion back in 2009-10, has a 3-4 record since moving down to Middleweight, including three straight losses heading into Saturday’s matchup. Andrews is a former linebacker from the Alabama Crimson Tide with a 2-0 record inside the Octagon, knocking out Rafael Natal (–110) in the first round and defeating Markus Perez (+225) via unanimous decision.

Saturday’s co-main event is a Bantamweight fight between former TUF winner John Dodson (19-9 lifetime, 8-4 UFC) and Brazilian native Pedro Munhoz (15-2, 1 NC lifetime; 5-2, 1 NC UFC), who won and defended the RFA Bantamweight title before making his Octagon debut in 2014. UFC Odds: Machida-Andrews at Fight Night 125

After three straight losses via stoppage, Lyoto Machida’s last match could be this Saturday in his native Brazil, where he’ll take on Eryk Andrews in the main event at UFC Fight Night 125. Andrews (10-0 lifetime, 2-0 UFC) is the –280 favorite at press time.
