The Cavaliers played better in Game 2 on Sunday, going into the dressing room down just three points, but Golden State kept their foot on the gas pedal while Cleveland faltered in the second half. Final score: Warriors 132, Cavaliers 113. With head coach Steve Kerr returning to active duty, the Dubs easily covered as 9-point home favourites, blowing out the posted total of 222 points. This was just the second playoff game in NBA history where two opposing players – LeBron James and Stephen Curry – finished with triple-doubles. But for the second straight game, it looked like James was out of breath in the late stages. The Warriors used their superior bench strength to put the kibosh on Cleveland. Unless the Cavs make some wholesale changes going home for Game 3, it won’t matter how well James plays down the stretch.
