NHL Odds: Vegas Heads to Tampa as Top Teams Clash

Fresh off of their bye week, the Tampa Bay Lightning will look to pick up where they left off against the second place Vegas Golden Knights. Not much was expected of the Vegas Golden Knights entering their inaugural season. They were constructed out of other teams’ castoffs; but now half way through the NHL’s regular season, the Golden Knights (29-11-3) find themselves in first place in the Western Conference and second in the entire NHL. They have eight players with 20 points or more and rank third in the league in team offense. In addition, they’ve had four different starting goaltenders due to injuries and have still managed to stay competitive. Seems the underdog status suits Vegas well.

Tampa Bay, on the other hand, was expected to be good in 2017-18. At press time, the Lightning are +600 favourites to take home the Stanley Cup this year. They’ve been basically unstoppable at both ends of the ice, ranking first in goals for per game and second in goals against per game. Add in two of the most lethal offensive players in the league, in Steven Stamkos and Nikita Kucherov, and you have the top team in the NHL. Don’t miss this epic matchup Thursday night.

NHL Odds: The NHL’s Top Two Teams Face Off

The Vegas Golden Knights head to Tampa Bay as they attempt to knock off the NHL’s best team. Vegas has faced Tampa Bay only once before, a game that they won 4-3 on a goal from Shea Theodore with just three seconds left in the third period.

Tampa will look to respond and defend their first-place ranking against their closest rivals. Thursday night’s contest will be the Lightning’s first game after coming off of a bye week. Kucherov and the boys should be fresh, but may be rusty. Let’s see how this one pans out in a battle between Stanley Cup favourites.
