MLB : American League, National League Square Off in All-Star Game

The 2016 All-Star Game is happening tonight at 8 PM ET (on FOX) at Petco Park in San Diego. The National League will aim to end the American League's three-game winning streak. Both leagues have met 84 times for the All-Star Game, with the NL claiming 43 wins and the AL taking 41.

Chris Sale (14-3 W-L, 3.38 ERA) of the Chicago White Sox gets the ball for his first All-Star start in his fifth appearance at the Midsummer Classic. Sale leads the American League in wins, innings pitched and complete games, and he’s third in strikeouts. As for the AL team, Miguel Cabrera of the Detroit Tigers is playing his 11th All-Star Game, while David Ortiz of the Boston Red Sox is here for the 10th time in his final MLB season.

The National League counters with Johnny Cueto (13-1 W-L, 2.47 ERA) of the San Francisco Giants, who’s making his first start in his second All-Star Game. Cueto leads the National League in wins, innings and complete games, and he’s third in ERA. Giants' teammate Buster Posey was called to play in his fourth All-Star team, as was Bryce Harper of the Washington Nationals.
The American League has won three straight All-Star Games, giving them home-field advantage in the World Series.

MLB Odds: Cueto, Sale to Start the MLB All-Star Game
The 87th edition of the MLB All-Star Game is taking place tonight at 8 PM ET in San Diego, with FOX providing coverage.

Both Johnny Cueto of the San Francisco Giants and Chris Sale of the White Sox lead their respective leagues in wins, innings pitched and complete games, and they get the honor of taking the mound first. The American League has won the last three All-Star Games by at least two points each game. The winner of the Midsummer Classic gets home-field advantage in the World Series, and the American League has won two of those World Series, so it’s a significant benefit.
