MLB : Royals, Blue Jays Wrap Up Three-Game Set in Toronto

The Toronto Blue Jays and Kansas City Royals met in the 2015 American League Championship Series, which was won by the eventual World Series champs, the Royals. The two face off in the finale of a three-game series in Toronto on Wednesday.

The Royals go with Ian Kennedy (6-7, 4.04 ERA), who pitched well in his last start despite the Royals losing 3-4 in Philadelphia. Kennedy allowed three runs on six hits over five innings, striking out eight and walking three, but he took the loss. The 31-year-old right-hander has faced the Blue Jays just once – way back in 2007 in the third start of his career – where he took a no-decision.

The Blue Jays counter with Marcus Stroman (6-4, 5.08 ERA), who gave up a single run on five hits over 6.2 innings, striking out six and walking one in a 1-2 loss to Cleveland. Stroman is familiar with Kansas City. He made his first career start against the Royals in May 2014, giving up a run on five hits with six strikeouts in a 12-2 win. He struggled against Kansas City in an 11-8 win in the 2015 postseason, giving up four runs on 11 hits in 6.1 innings.

MLB : Royals, Blue Jays Wrap Up Three-Game Set in Toronto

MLB Odds: Stroman, Blue Jays Clash with Kennedy, Royals in Toronto
The Kansas City Royals had to go through a tough opponent in the Toronto Blue Jays in last year's ALCS. On Wednesday, they'll wrap up a three-game set north of the border.

The Royals give the ball to Ian Kennedy (6-7, 4.04 ERA) who has faced the Blue Jays just once back in 2007, when he was a rookie with the New York Yankees. The Blue Jays respond with Marcus Stroman (6-4, 5.08 ERA), who took on the Royals in last season's ALCS. Despite earning the win, Stroman didn't pitch well in that game, giving up 11 hits and four runs in 6.1 innings of work.
