NBA Odds: Will George Make Indiana Return in Thunder-Pacers Game?

Paul George was the star attraction at the Fieldhouse for five years. He returns Wednesday night (7 PM ET, ESPN) for the first time as a member of the Oklahoma City Thunder – but will George suit up against his former team, the Indiana Pacers? He missed the past two games with a right calf contusion and is considered day-to-day at press time.

So far, it looks like the Pacers (15-11 SU, 16-10 ATS) have “won” the offseason trade that sent George to Oklahoma City (12-13 SU, 8-17 ATS) in exchange for Victor Oladipo and Domantas Sabonis. But it was the Thunder beating Indiana 114-96 as 13-point favorites when they met October 25 in OKC. Sabonis started at center and shot 1-for-9; he’s been moved into a reserve role at power forward, and the Pacers are 10-5 SU and ATS with Sabonis at the 4-spot.

The Thunder have had disappointing results this year with George and Carmelo Anthony alongside reigning league MVP Russell Westbrook. Neither addition is playing like an All-Star, especially Anthony, and the wheels may be coming off: Oklahoma City has dropped the cash in eight straight games, going 4-4 SU as medium favorites on the NBA lines.

NBA Odds: George, Thunder Visit Pacers

This Wednesday night in Indianapolis, Paul George is due to play his first game at the Fieldhouse as a member of the Oklahoma City Thunder (12-13 SU, 8-17 ATS). But George might not face the Indiana Pacers (15-11 SU, 16-10 ATS); he’s listed as day-to-day with a right calf contusion. Tip-off is at 7 PM ET on ESPN.

Both teams were healthy when the Thunder (–13 at home) beat Indiana 114-96 on October 25. The Pacers adjusted; they’re 10-5 SU and ATS with Domantas Sabonis as a reserve 4, while Oklahoma City is on an eight-game ATS losing streak.
