NFL Odds: New Coach for Giants With Cowboys in Town

The New York Giants (2-10 SU, 5-7 ATS) have fired head coach Ben McAdoo – and GM Jerry Reese, too. But will it help them beat the visiting Dallas Cowboys (6-6 SU and ATS) this Sunday? New York can help spoil the Cowboys’ playoff chances with a win; kick-off is at 1 PM ET on FOX, and the NFL lines are locked at press time with Dallas laying six points.

Defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo has been named interim head coach for the Giants, and with this promotion, QB Eli Manning is expected to get his starting job back after McAdoo went with Geno Smith in last week’s loss to the Oakland Raiders. However, there are a number of other personnel questions for both teams that have the lines for Sunday’s game in lockdown.

The most important of these questions: Will QB Dak Prescott start for the Cowboys? It’s believed Prescott will play Sunday after injuring his throwing hand during last week’s win over Washington; that was a Thursday nighter, so Prescott has extra time to heal before facing the G-Men. Thursday’s victory was Dallas’ first in four games since RB Ezekiel Elliott began serving his six-game suspension.
