Sunday also marks the return of Dallas RB Ezekiel Elliott from his six-game suspension. The Cowboys’ running game hasn’t suffered that much during Elliott’s absence, with Alfred Morris (4.8 yards per carry) picking up the slack; the greater concern might be the health of LT Tyron Smith, who left last week’s game against the Oakland Raiders with a sprained right knee. His chances of playing Sunday are iffy at best.
The Seahawks are teetering on the verge of collapse after losing back-to-back games SU and ATS, including last week’s 42-7 pasting at the horns of the Los Angeles Rams (PK away). Linebacker KJ Wright missed that game with a concussion, but should be able to play against Dallas this week; LB Bobby Wagner (hamstring) is also likely to face the Cowboys.
NFL Odds: Seahawks-Cowboys in Must-Win
Someone’s playoff hopes will likely end this Sunday when the Dallas Cowboys (8-6 SU, 7-6-1 ATS) host the Seattle Seahawks (8-6 SU, 5-8-1 ATS), beginning at 4:25 PM ET on FOX. Dallas appears more likely to stay in the Wild Card hunt as 5-point home favorites. The Cowboys will also welcome RB Ezekiel Elliott back into the fold now that he’s finished serving his six-game suspension. However, LT Tyron Smith is questionable for Dallas after spraining his right knee in last week’s win over the Oakland Raiders. The Cowboys got smoked in both games Smith sat out earlier this year.
